Keri, I do keep track in fitday.com. I average 1500 calories a day. When I was where you are, I was eating about 800 a day. I think 1500 is too much but now that I exercise so much and am nearly 1 year out I definitely have more of an appetite. But, I'm losing slowly, so I am not sure if I'm right or not. I know I'm building muscle. I can feel it. I love fitday.com because it will keep track of everything for you, exercise, calories, carbs, fiber and protein. Lori 384/241.5/168

My Nut wants me on 85 grams proteins a day and calories kept at 850 or under a day. Those two and water are supposed to be my daily goals, per her program. I average, however, between 800 - 900 calories a day (once in a while there will be a 900+ day, but not often), and about 80 - 100 grams proteins a day (I don't really have trouble getting protein in). I've really been journaling my food in the last 3 months to keep track of it all, or I WOULD be eating more than the Nut wants me to. I can't keep track any other way. I use fitday.com to find food values, but I enter everything into a DietMinder (Food & Fitness Journal) I bought at Barnes & Noble. For me it's sinks in better if I write it myself, rather than just log online. My downfall, has always been and still is, CARBS. I grew up in a carb-comfort-food household ... fried potatoes and onions will always be my favorite, favorite food ... so carb craving more than head hunger has been what I have to fight all day every day, since about 8 months out. Hope this helps, Myra

Myra, Thank you for your reply I have heard of fit day but I think that the journal that you got from Barnes and Noble is more up my alley. Even though the stepping into a Barnes and Noble is almost as dangerous for me as a McDonalds (used). I love that store. Also wanted to comment on how AWSOME your pictures are! I have lurked and sometimes posted and have watched your pictures change Congrats! I hope to do as well! Have a great one Myra thank you again for your reply. Oh and those damn comfort foods Carbs!! I wish I could hate them (smile)

Keri, I'm the same way about B&N .. could spend way too much money in there if I went more often ... the good thing is we don't have one in my town, it's 30 miles away in another city. Keeps me from being tempted too often. Thanks for the nice words about my photos ... it's still hard for me to believe I'm not the person in the top photos any longer. Maybe one day it will sink in, but haven't quite wrapped my mind around it yet. all the best to you on your journey!!! Myra
