what do you do....
I'm glad I'm not the only one. I haven't had the urge to reach for food yet but I can blow my stack alot quicker than I used to. I was no picnic before but my mood swings are pretty slippery here lately. I have always had a short fuse but I have to stop myself now because I find I yell a whole lot more.
I think exercising will help as soon as I can get permission from the doc.

I totally understand. I never thought I was that much of a stress eatter but guess what-- I am. I find that when ever i get that urge I drink somthing. usually I fill up my 30oz glass and drin****il it is gone. Not only do I have to wait 30 minutes once i finish ( I stick by this rule all the time) but also in the time it takes me to drink it all I have had time to get a grip on my emotions and calm down. don't know if this will help but hope it does.
Good luck on your journey, jennifer

Hi Erin,
Sorry you're having a hard time right now. I don't think there IS any one way to deal with stress, everyone goes about it differently. For me, I try to do something I enjoy ... I pain****ercolors or I go for a walk. Others might tell you exercise helps.
One thing that might help is to just grab a protein shake when you're wanting to eat for comfort and force yourself to drink it ... it will at least take up room in your pouch so that you're not able to eat. I wish I had a better answer for you, but I can only say what works for me (sometimes).
all the best,
Myra
Sandra,
Have you ever considered selling your crocheted items on Ebay? I'm sure those old patterns make lovely items that people would love to have and be willing to buy. Might make a nice little "kitty" for any PS needed down the road. My daughter is trying to get me to sell my watercolors that way, and from the sounds of it, I'm going to need a nice little $ bundle if I want this skin off someday. So I'm considering selling some of my paintings if I can.
As to the old patterns, you said they were posted online? I'd love to have some of them for the cold months when I crochet. Email me the URL?
thanks!! and ((hugs))
Myra
Hey there, Erin!
I'm back from Texas. If you're stressed, you can call me
Also, ask your doc if Care Net does anything with free counseling. I go to Catholic Charities. They used to do free therapy, but I think now the minimum is $25 a session. Also, Paxil might be good. I take a low dose of that (20mg a day) and it's been effective for my panic attacks and generalized anxiety. Before I had insurance, my doctor gav me samples of Paxil. So I've never had to pay for it.
Hope things are okay. Drop me an e-mail (used the regular beginning, but @toast.net instead of Buckeye Express).
