5/4/06 Well today is another day that the Lord has kept me. I am so thankful for all of your prayers and blessing through this process. My surgery is right around the corner you know I never really though that it would happen. I mean I knew one day I would have surgery I just wasn't sure when. But one good thing I do know for sure is that God is in control. My surgery is on May 9th for those that don't know it and should begin at 7:30am and should end by 9:30am. I am very excited about stepping into my new way of life. Your prayers will be needed on this day as I also pray for you. For those that are still waiting for a date please keep your head up and don't give up. Sometime changes come to make us stronger. So I have bought the following items for my trip to the hospital: Bible Blistex Robe (going to get tomorrow) Slippers CD player CD's Bath and Body Works (Japanese Cherry blossom) I love this stuff. Tooth Paste & Tooth Brush Deodorant Well I figured that was all I needed. If am missing anything please let me know.

Will you be in the hospital long enough to need the CD player and CDs? Knowing how hospitals are these days, as soon as you can walk around and not faint, they will probably send you home to recuperate! Good luck, and prayers are headed your way. Kix

My doctor told me I would be relesed if all is well by Thursday afternoon. So I will be in there for two nights. I will need some music to help me sleep. Have a great day. Lorraine aka Sophia

I fall asleep with the radio on, so I see why you need the CDs and CD player...especially in hospitals, where I think the medical staff waits until you fall asleep to come in and start poking around during the night! Kix

Don't worry too much about the robe. It is such a messy thing with the drains, the robe will get ruined. Good luck! Lori

Hello, Sounds like you've got everything. I didn't take my CPap for my sleep apnea and regreted it. I couldn't get any good sleep without it. I didn't use a robe I just used a big comfortable nighty. I didn't have any drains. Best wishes on your journey. (((hugs))) Diana
