Is anyone else nauseous in the morning?
Hi all.
I have been doing really well since surgery on the 18th, but I do have one little problem....I wake up every morning feeling
. Anybody else have this problem? My surgeon suggested I drink something high in protien right before bed and I have tried that but it doesnt seem to help much.
And before anyone suggests it, I am NOT pregnant.

Hi Lisa,
I have some queasiness each morning. It will sound gross, but for me, it's because of my sinuses. The mucous accumulates in the pouch overnight and thickens, causing the "sicky" ... "I couldn't eat if I tried" feeling.
At any rate, the way my Nut suggested I combat this is to have a hot drink, preferably coffee or tea (something on the "clear" side), immediately after waking, so the hot liquid can break up the mucous and flu**** out of my pouch. For me it's a steaming mug of decaf coffee, black. Works, day after day after day.
Don't know if this might be at the root of your nausea, but you might try a simple hot drink 1st think each morning and see if it helps.

Lisa:
I have this problem. I am about 3 weeks post op and I have it every morning. I noticed when I would drink warm broth, it seemed to help a bit. Even if I kick start with water in the morning I notice that helps. I get up about 30 min. before my kids so I can get rid of this feeling and take care of what I need to do before work.
Good Luck.
