Who what a ride this has been tomorrow I will join the loser bench number 23 Sophia Clark Jackson. Looks like she will be in it for the long hall but she can make it to the goal. I just want to say thank you to all of you for your prayers and your well wishes. Please continue to pray for me. My surgery is in the morning I guess I will be getting up bright and shiney in the morning. 4am to be exact but I know this one thing God is in control. Well I have about another hour before the dreaded bowel prep I am not looking forward to that seeing how I am on all liquids today and drank some apple juice. I forgot it will get you going in the morning if you drink to much I know I will be alright. Well I am off to finish some last min things at home I am sure before the day is done I will post again. Much love to all of you and I will be keeping you in my prayers gotta go... no I mean I really gotta go.. Sophia aka Lorraine

Make sure you drink plenty of fluids after your bowel prep so your electrolytes don't get too far out of whack. Good luck tomorrow! Have a boring, uneventful surgery and we'll see you home soon. Kix

Sophia, I got up at 4am for my surgery and I remember taking my shower and the drive to the hospital. I think I just zoned out. I had my family with me in the waiting room but sent them home because it was so early so I sat and read a magazine about Jennifer Anniston I think..lol. I heard my named called and it was all so unreal. I remember changing and putting my things into a bag for the hospital locker. It was like I was in slow motion. I laid in the surgery prep room and trying to be brave watching some news and wondering what my life would be like in just a few short hours. I remember being wheeled into the OR and watching them it was like a movie and I was thinking I'm outta here no way changed my mind and boom I was out like a light. I don't even remember the recovery room. When I woke up I was fine and its been fine ever since. I did my hospital stay alone because no one was able to help with the kids. My husband was there when I came out of recovery but with the kids it was too much so I had them leave and then he came back alone another day. It wasn't as bad as I thought it would be. I had plenty of time to rest and adjust and it was nice. I will be thinking of you tomorrow and hoping your experience is uneventful and your home soon. Take care of yourself and I'll be waiting right here on the loser's bench for you. Together we can reach our goal!! BIG HUGS, Jamie
