Do you have to take out all piercings sugery day? I've had my nose and tongue pierced for only a year. When my nose ring has fallen out in the middle of the night and i try to put the jewlery the next morning, it's kind of jard cause it had already started to close. Could I just put a retainer in?

if you have tried the other options from the previous post and still are having problems...grab your ring on both sides of the ball and twist in opposite directions. Your ring will be warped but easier to remove. Small gauge jewelry is cheap compared to potential damage of your pink parts.

Which part of "down there" do you have pierced? I know there's two different piercings you can get "the hood" and the "c**t".....and does it really emprove having the big "O" ?? I'v always wanted to know about that. I have my eyebrow, tongue and use to have both nipples, but one got ripped out LoL

My belly has been pierced for about 3 years. I have had my belly ring out since surgery, except to slide one in once in a while to make sure the hole isn't trying to close up (it's not). The cut my surgeon did at my belly is on the lower part of my belly button, and is healing nicely. I could probably wear the ring now but I sit for long stretches of time at work and don't want it to rub the incision site and make it sore. I'm using Maderma to help heal the scars too. I'm sure I'll be able to have my belly ring back in full time pretty soon.

I am not sure about this kind of lap surgery, however I have had many other laps(due to female problems...errg) and they have gone directly into my belly button. It was sore for a few days, but I could put my curved plain barbell back in, about 4 days after the lap surgery.
I don't have my navel pierced anymore.. and like I said I don't know about this type of surgery. Just letting ya know about my past experience.

It sounds like a captive bead ring. Try holding the ring on either side, firmly, with first finger and thumb, then with the other hand, use your first finger and thumb hold the ball and twist and pull gentely and the bead should come out. If not, then it is squeezed tightly, try taking ahold of each side of the ring, with the same fingers and pulling gentley out, this might stretch it just enough for the bead to pop off easier. If not, you probably need help. Hope this helps.

I have a question...
I have a piercing below the belt... but I'm assuming I'll still need to have it out for surgery. I'm not so much worried it will close (I've had it done for over 2 years now) but rather HOW I get the thing out. It's a closed circle with the ball in the center and I've tried before to take it out to change it but couldn't. I didn't want to try too hard for fear of injuring myself. I really do NOT want to into a piercing shop and ask them to remove it!!!! How embarrassing (Don't ask why I wasn't embarrassed to get it done in the first place... I have no idea)! I have my tongue, nose and ears pierced, all for over 5 years, and I never leave jewelry in them and they still haven't closed so I'm not at all worried about them... just the "other" one. Any ideas how I can get this thing out myself without ripping/tearing any sensitive flesh or causing myself a disability!

Hey everyone! I just found this board today and am quite excited about it. I had my nipples pierced about 3.5 months ago and am 15 lbs from goal. With plastic surgery coming up, what can I do so that my piercings won't close during the surgery? I saw some people talking about acrylic barbells and am wondering do they have acrylic rings? I love my piercings and won't let them close not even for surgery. That was really painful getting them done and my left one is a bit ****ed because I almost passed out while he was doing it. Any and all help greatly appreciated!

hey there, yes it is weird...i have had my tongue ring for about 6 years and if i take it out for 10 minutes, i have a hard time putting it back in....
it sucks, but i have 18 piercings, i take all the ones out that i can, and leave the rest in, i havent had a problem before, so i am hoping i wont in 24 days either
