I do, but I like to only do heavy cardio on non lifting days, I think walking may be the best thing when lifting.

I like it after, more energy to lift, then cardio loosens me up after so I do not get so tight.

Anthony, It is fine to do both on the same day. If you can do split routines, that might be better (example--cardio in the morning, weights in the afternoon or evening). As for before or after your weight trining, I would say that depends upon your focus--if you are really training hard with the weights, do that first. You should, however, warm up a bit on the bike or treadmill before lifting to loosen up. If increasing your cardio-vascular fitness is your primary focus, then I would do that first. cheers, KarenK

Being a certified trainer (yippie - a new certification!!!!) It is okay to do BOTH Cardio and weight lifting in the same day. If you're worried about muscle fatigue or burn out you can try some Glutamine and it can be beneficial to tired muscles to help them recouperate easier. Dee Dee

Anthony, good to see you in here. Are you callin me a Muslehead? I guess that is better than Hey Fat Ass My advice is do weights first then cardio. Don't just do your cadio in the "fat buning" zone. Make sure you bump it up sometimes. Good luck.
