Thanks! She was having a lot of pain last night, but so far today, she has none...so I am hoping...hoping... that the nasty thing found it's way out. I talked to her about praying and the power of positive thinking last night. I think it may have helped! She asked me when we were going shopping today...that's ALWAYS a good sign! Val

Man, I will tell ya, I have really slept good the past two nights, knowing that I don't have to have work on my brain right now. It is giving me a chance to sort things out in my head, and when I work out I just don't think about anything. Today is lower body. I can't wait. That's my favorite to work. Yesterday, my oldest daughter was being nice and giving mommy a great back scratch and putting lotion on and said something to the effect of "Your back is getting huge mom! You are starting to look like a body builder!" WOW I have only dreamed of hearing that... ...then later on when Earl was working out, I was admiring my back side in one of the mirrors (yep I have flat butt syndrome too) and he said that I was getting s nice butt, and that I have really been redistributing my muscle mass and weight, and that it was definately obvious, and commended me over my 3 lb muscle mass gain.... Man, my ego was stroked a bunch yesterday and I likey likey I needed this week. I needed to get sore in the gym, and to clean out all the stress stuff in my head. I am feeling much better than I did friday that's for sure. Tweakin' the meds a little has helped too. I am sleeping much better and feeling rested in the morning...haven't experienced that for a long time it seems. Now I just have to get my baby girl feeling better. HUGS! Val

great workouts! I am so glad to see you looking this monster in the face! I have 3 aunts with Lupus and they just have given up! Keep up the great work and I pray your strength returns double to you! Val, I know what you are talking about! I am so glad to be back at the gym. Friday we super set 3 different tricep. exercises and My arms are so sore I thought there was something wrong with me yesterday.....I was achy....and then I remembered....did some military presses behind the head.....achy shoulders too. I did do some legs and my workout partner told me that I am starting to get a little bit of a lift in the ol' back seat! Yeah! I thought I lost my butt for life. just the way the family traits go you know! working out has helped a great deal with my stress. You will feel like a new woman when you cannot sit on the toilet next week! It hurts soooo good! Tammy

Val...I am right there with you! I wanna lift.....running......I just don't have the body type for that. I will jump steps, run a couple of hills but....running........mmmmm.....I don't think so!

Just like me! Ok, got in the gym for a quickie 1/2 hr workout. I figure since I haven't worked out in a week I needed to just get the muscles moving. I feel good, and my arms feel it, so that is a good thing! Here goes: Stretching...lots of it...ahhhh felt good! Incline DB Flyes 10# x 15 15# x 15 x 12 DB shoulder presses 15# x 6 20# x 6 25# x 5 ~ man this made me feel weak... poo poo Side lateral raises 10# for 3 sets of 10 Tricep pushdowns work up to breakdown sets 30# x 12 40# x 10 x 8 50# x 4 then break it down Hammer curls 15# x 8 x 10 x 8 Leg raises on decline bench Hurts so good! 11 x 6 x 8 That's all folks! Feels good to workout again...now shower time and chill out... Val

Whooooo frickin Hoooo!!! FAB work out! My friday consisted of SPRING CLEANING!!!! Saturday's workout was another story all together though!!! Pump class....1 hour....Extra leg work Leg press 15 x 105, 15 x 115, 10 x 135 (ouchie....) Ham curls 15 x 95, 15 x 115, 10 x 130 (hurt so good!!!!) weighted calf raises 15 x 55, 15 x 65, 10 x 75 walking Lunges 2 laps with 15 lbs weights on each leg......exhausting! sometimes I push myself for no reason.....most of the time it's because the burn is so addictive! YEAH JOHN ohhhh, I'm soooo excited for you!!! Can you tell me where the mini marathon will be and when? i've started running with my wheel chairs between having people in them. i can't believe i can actually run and not feel as if i'm going to die after one second.
