I just got home and saw your post, I would have told you no on the pepto too, has aspirin related properties and can bind you up. Tums or mylanta will work good. Glad everything is ok. I think my 14 year old has your bug too. Must be going around...stomach achey, nausea, diarrhea, headache, dizzy... I hope you get to feeling better. I don't know about out there but the weather is gorgeous here and it sucks to be sick. Take it easy!

Surgeon had me in this afternoon for CBC and U/A. He said it is probably nothing but is being cautious. If it is something more then he will deal with it. I'm not worried though. Feeling a little better this afternoon. Just totally wiped and headed for some much needed zzzzzzzzz. Got my response on the pepto and that was a big no. I guess MoM and Tums is ok though.

Great job Mikee! I did some discus throwing on my own...not a good morning...but that's another story, then came home and did jumping exercises. Those are wicked. But I can do more than I did last time, so that's all that counts. Tonight I am going to mow the neighbors forrest. They kinda moved (more like disappeared) one day and no one is mowing the yard. We can't take it any more, looks bad and then there's the pests that go with high grass... So that will be a great cardio for me tonight. Then I am going to settle down with a nice glass of wine and watch the movie "Sideways"! All that after working all day and speaking at a LEARN class about WLS. Hope your Monday is going good! Val

No fever this morning and last dose of Tylenol was around 8pm last night so that's the good news. The bad news - I'm still having abdominal cramping, diarrhea, and really weak. I'm scared to eat anything but going to try some Lemon Flavored Nectar Brand Protein powder since that is the lightest thing I have right now. Do you know if we can take pepto or should I just let this GI flu or whatever I have take its course? I have to be at work for a meeting at 10am so I've got to get this to stop somehow. =( Trying to get in touch with my surgeon but have had no luck yet.

That's good. Yep soft doesn't always mean ok! You don't have to feel thirsty to be dehydrated! Don't wait until you are thirsty, drink anyway. Don't over do it too soon either. You could just really be running yourself down, and then your immune system takes a hit, and you are still recovering from surgery...then bam! Trouble. So, take it easy, drink your fluids, eat some really soft bland stuff and rest as much as possible. It will get better, promise. Remember, this is not the easy way out, but it is the most worth it way out! Hugs, Val

Yes it does!! Shoes, and a top. Then I had dinner with my kids at a chinese buffet, and spent about 3 hours with them, laughing and talking about all kinds of funny things. Turned out to be a really nice day after all! I haven't laughed that much in a long time with them. Really nice. Thanks, Val

I took some Children's liquid tylenol and it brought my temp back to normal. Also slept a ton today. I still feel really weak and my system is completely messed up. Someone suggested it could be food poisioning or a GI Flu as well. I'm not thirsty anymore so I think I've done a good job hydrating myself. I'll stay away from those spicy/heavy foods for a while. I was thinking because they were soft I would be ok. Actually I may not ever eat them again after what I've been through!! I have such a long day at work tomorrow. Tons of meetings. Hopefully by the morning I will feel better and get some energy back. Thanks!

It could be anything at this point, but I will tell you dehydration can cause a low grade fever. Anything up to 100 degrees is considered "therapeutic" When you go above that and sustain it, then you need to look at other causes. Have you taken any pain meds or tylenol to bring it down? At least put a call in to your doc to let them know what is going on with you so they can advise you further. I hope you feel better. That may be just too much too soon for your gut to handle. Queso and mexican foods are hard on normal digestive systems, not to mention newly raw rewired systems. I would lay off that stuff for a while and just stick to soft bland foods, that's what your body can handle right now, and overdoing it will cause it to rebel in a major way. I hope you are feeling better soon. Hugs, Val
