Milestone/Holiday Present from the husband
Just got my new present that should be here by Christmas......
my own studio quality spinning bike for the house - Spinner Elite model from www.spinning.com
I want to eventually go for the instructor cert and it will be nice to have it for in the house training. I just fell in love with taking classes at the gym on this specific bike. I was using my regular bike on a mag trainer for the house but it just isn't the same. You can't get out of the seat like you can in a spin bike or get the same kind of workout. It is so much more stable too. Will use this for my primary cardio probably and then do my typical resistance training programs at the Y. So far I have not gotten back to the triathlon triaining - bike/run/swim just cause I had so many issues with the endometriosis pain. I've been pain free now for about a week so starting up slow again and then will get back to it. I'm sure I'll also need a week of recovery time after my "dusting and cleaning" surgery on Dec. 29th. Man.. working out this year has been such a roller coaster ride. Some days I wonder if I'll ever get into a normal routine again without something going on. Hoping that day will be here very soon. 2006 should be a really good year! I'm excited for it.

lmao.. ya but I'd be the one trying to get him drunk and taking advantage of the situation.. Heck - I should do that now!!!!!!! Great idea!!! Too bad he doesn't drink that often. Hmm maybe I could slip a little something in his post workout protein shake.

Thanks, I like the wide grip, gets an area I do not feel with anything else. In the beginning I was not going to post the weight, but I thought people would see that the weight is not very heavy most of the time and not be intimidated, I like to see what others are lifting. I wish Earl would put weight, but respect his reasoning for not (He would punk us all out).
I have had to start from scratch and lift WAY less than in my younger years. The gym has been an issue for me, I talk myself in and out of going 10 times before I make it; I feel like a big fat guy who has no right to be there, all eyes are on me, judging me, laughing at me, my brain is hard wired to think this. Once I am there I feel pretty good, and really enjoy it. I see you enjoy working out at different places, that is very cool. I want to get to a place where I enjoy it more without the weirdness.

ding ding ding (think the winning sound from a boxing match)
I feel like I just hit the jackpot this morning. A lower weight than I've been in the last 15 years. I finally made it to onderland.
My surgeon says I should be 170 by my one year in April if I don't change a thing. Hopefully that number will be even lower or at least include a lot of muscle! I'd like to end up maintaining somewhere between 135 - 150.
I'm only 5'4 so I think that is a pretty reasonable maintenance weight.
Hard to believe that back in April I was 281 lbs just before surgery. These 8 months and 82lbs have gone by pretty fast.

Nice Job Mike. Congrats on the new store. Looks like a good workout. I like the wide grip too on the seated cable row. I see you are posting your weights. You are more of a man than me. I am going to wait till I am stronger before I post the amount of weight
You are like me in the sense that you work out on the road. I guess it is a choice between TV in the hotel room and the gym....the gym wins most of the time. Have a great week in the Valley's gym.
