I ran 2 miles (17:06 smokin). After my short run, I went to my yoga class. The yoga felt good because I was warmed up from my run.

Garland, this is a Bodybuilding and Weightlifting Board. Of course we do "resistance training" ........Resistance training just a fancy name for lifting weights and pumping iron. You look awesome. Nice "traps"!! I do a 3 day split routine. Chest, back abs one day. Biceps, triceps, shoulders one day. Legs one day. I train heavy or light day for about 45 min or and hour and finish up with cardio. I do some yoga and running on my non-lift days.

Hi Tammy I had not heard that a "split" opposite workout (push/pull) was bad. I really like to train this way because with my 3 day split. the muscle gets plenty of time to recover because I only hit it once a week, however, I do realize that there is a lots of secondary muscles that get trained more than once a week. It is really common in with all the bodybuilding programs.

Friday was recovery day. Saturday I moved my in-laws into a new house. Did lots of awkward lifting,(back is a little sore) but the weight training really helped me get through it. Sunday was a leg day. I took it easy because I lifted furniture the previous day with my legs. I did the following exercises Quad exercises: leg press leg extensions lying adduction Hams & Glutes: leg curls lying abduction calves: seated toe press Finished with 30 minutes of cardio.

I lived in Columbus for a while... my folks are still out there... Granville actually. I bought some accu-fitness calipers and did a 7-site calculation method. I took some of the measurements and my son would take the ones I couldn't. I did it at least once a week first thing in the morning. I used this site to do the calcs: http://www.rustyiron.net/formmal7.htm Now I use a 3-site method and mostly just keep an eye on how the measurements change per site. I gained 12 lbs of lean mass! That was the awesome part about it all... I couldn't believe I could add muscle while losing weight. Here were my stats: Before Weight: 201 lbs. Body Fat: 19% After Weight: 185 lbs. Body Fat: 5.5% --Lost 28 pounds of fat. Gained 12 pounds of muscle.-- And yes... the tan most definitely accentuates muscularity.. so does the removal of hair... I used nair. The darker the better when you take photos. I used a competition temp tan by Jan Tana for the final pics. Hope that info helps. I'll help out any way I can. God Bless, James
