Topic: RE: Hi All Newbie to this board!!!
Hi Nicole,
I am also another shot/discus/javelin/powerlifter from way back. I also benched over 200 (205 at 19), squatted over 400 and deadlifted over 350. However, my career was cut short at 20 by a knee injury, just after I set all the state powerlifting records (teenage records and open records). I later went on to teach aerobics and do personal training. So, it seems we have a lot of strong, athletic women here! I lurk here, because my workouts right now are not newsworthy, lol, although I can still bench 150. My knees are arthritic, however, so no squatting other than with light weight, just machines.
Hope to read you again!
cheers,
KarenK

I do a little caffeine before work out. Dosage really depends on you. Some people get jittery with a small amount. Some people need a much larger amount to get the desired affect. I think its trial and error. Some days I feel like I need a cup to keep going...other days I am fine.. Good luck finding what's right for you

Topic: RE: Your best and worst muscles?
Welcome Mark
You will get it all back. It will just take time. Just follow Earl's advice. You can join our new club......"The flat ass lifters"...... Just keep working on the "pipes" and no one will even notice the ass. Good Luck. Keep us posted

How about the biceps, I use to play college football (I'm 33 years old, so its been awhile). I use to have massive arms. I hope to regain them after surgery. I still have a great bench, but no endurance. I played college ball at 255lbs. I let myself go and currently weigh 365. I have dropped 15lbs since deciding to get the surgery. I have recently started lifting again (thanks Earl) and I'm in the constant sore stage. I'm taking it easy with lighter weights, more reps. I would have laughed at a guy like me when I was 22. What the hell happened? Anyway, looking forward to getting the pipes back. As for the ass, I'm a flat assed ******* myself!! Even at my heaviest, I have always had a flat ass. It makes a belt a necessity for holding the jeans up.

Labatts Select, and michelob ultra are also very low in Carbs (2.something) Not what you call a dark beer, but pretty good. There is a German beer that is darker that only has 1.9, but I forget the name. I'm having the surgery next month, and sure will miss a couple of beers after mowing the lawn!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
