Topic: 10.7% body fat!!!
Last year, I took my son to Baseline Fitness for a Bod Pod test. He was 19% body fat which put him on the high end of "normal". I took him back today and he was down to 10.7%.(low end of lean) He has made an AWSOME reduction fat percentage. I am soooo proud of him. He achieved his goal with a very strict diet and a great cardio and weight program. He goes to the gym with me but he does his own intense program. He has inspired me to really focus on the diet. He is so good abou****ching his calories. He writes down everything that he eats. I guess I need to start writing stuff down.

Topic: Back is getting worse
As I posted earlier, I "tweaked" my lower back last week. This week I went to Nashville and it got a little worse. The hotel beds, long rides and lifting the luggage out of the trunk ....seems to have mad it worse. I may have to take some drugs tomorrow to make it better. I have medicine some left over from my last lower back doctor visit. I have a muscle relaxer and anti-inflammatory pills that I could take. I am going to take it easy for a while and see how it does. This is my first injury in a long time. The last time I was hurt, I "tweaked" my calf muscle doing my leg work out. I always get hurt doing the legs. I think I should skip the leg work outs ...however,The legs are the biggest muscles in your body. I can't skip them...or could I?

Topic: "tweaked" my back last Saturday
I tweaked my back working my legs. I think it was the heavy squats that did it. I try to keep good form, but **** happens. No more showing off doing heavy squats
I am fine, but I wont be working the legs for a while to it.I just need to stretch my back(yoga) and relax it. This happens to me a few times a year..I am used it. ..... I did have a good chest back and abs day yesterday. I will be working the arms and shoulders tomorrow or Saturday.

SPRI has some good stuff and I think I can get you a discount link from PT On The Net. Let me see if we still have an active account. I'll get back to you later on it. Reg link is here: http://www.spriproducts.com/
Even Wal-Mart sells the swiss/exercise/stability balls though and that might be cheaper. Ohh just checked website for them.. $13.88. Also another one for 29.00 - Stamina Deluxe Yoga and Pilates System With Body Ball that includes a few other extras. They have a Crystal Edge 65 cm Bodyball for 10.88.
If you do buy the ball check the size is right for you. 5' to 6', buy a 55 cm ball, 6'1 and over, buy a 65 cm ball, or if you are over 6'3" Size 85 cm if you can find one. The firmer the ball, the more difficult the exercise will be. The softer the ball, the less difficult the exercise will be. So watch the air pressure too. They do need to be checked every so often.
Another toy I love that is a bit more pricey is the bosu balls. Check those out too if you get a chance and see what you think. I use one or two of them for balance, str, and cardio work. Fun to do squats on as well as push ups. Also go slowly side to side while holding a medicine ball and staying in a squat position.

Hi Doughboi,
I don't know if you have interest or not to buying some stuff, but if you do, in addition to the exercises that Stacy recommended you can check out the SPRI products website, no weights, just resistance bands, tubes, etc. Inexpensive, light, travel well and each product that you buy comes with an exercise chart. I used to recommend this to my clients who travelled a lot and never knew if they could find a gym. Google SPri, I am not sure of the exact url.
cheers,
KarenK

lmao
Ok.. I'm not spitting green mucus but I am going to plea temporary insanity. Somehow I still managed to drop a couple lbs since I got back from Chicago. Gotta love the window of opportunity... it is very forgiving right now. Off to an ok start this week. Just came back from doing cardio. Only go 30 min in because the eliptical somehow jammed up which caused a shooting pain on the inside of my knee. OW.. managed to finish most of the workout and then limped the few blocks back home but I couldn't even get my heart rate over 100. Tomorrow I'm going to do full body but if I still have the knee pain I might just do upper and wait a couple more days on lower.
Have a good week!
