camping at cub-o-ree

Hi all!! Just got home from a fun filled weekend with sons scout troop at the cub-o-ree. It was a fun time when the scouts camp for the weekend and show the dristrict cub scouts (on Saturday) what the boy scouts do all year. Games, rope bridge, cooking, archery, sling shots, klondik derby races. It all ends with a 105 foot rain gutter ice cream sundae for everyone to enjoy on Saturday. Last year cub scouts are invited to sleep Saturday night with a scout troop to get to know more about the troop that they may cross over to in February of the next year. I always enjoy camping with the scout troop because it is boy led and us adults are around for adult supervision. It rarly comes to the point that we really need to be involved to do much of anything. Just a time to enjoy the scouts and get to know them, they run the show rather nicely!! Shortie
