Camp...Camp...Camp
I haven't been able to get out yet either. I figure by August my family better prepare for camping every weekend...we got a lot of catching up to do!

I would love to join you but unfortunately, my family lives in Illinois! We are a camping family as well and I can't wait until I get healed up and lose some weight so we can get back out there!

I live in Charlotte and love to go camping. A friend and I went to Uwarrie National Forrest (Badin Lake) last weekend. It was great. We would sure like some more camping buddies if anyone is interested.

Yeah it can be a really small world on these boards! LOL! Camping was GREAT! For the first time in over a decade I was not sore or need help getting off the air mattress. I was able to hike without having my buddy drag me back to camp. I was able to do everything I could never done alone before and I LOVE IT!!! This surgery has been such a blessing!

Hi, Jamie. I think it is kind of interesting how I keep running across your posts...first swimming now this! We definitely have some things in common. So, how was camping? I love camping, but at 340 pounds...it is rather difficult getting in and out of the tent. I can't wait until I/we can go camping in comfiort. My husband had surgery on 3/23, and he is already down 51 pounds! He is already feeling the difference, and I can't wait to join him.

I am going camping next weekend for the first time since my surgery and I cannot wait to hit the trails and go hiking! I am going to a huge festival so it will be quite an expierence. Some of the folks who will be there will not even recognize me, I am sure! I just hope that the weather is nice b/c I plan on wearing my sarongs all weekend! LOL!

Hello Joann, I have never heard of TTN or Naco, I mostly go up tpo Kings Canyon and Big Bear Lake to Camp, but I also like Calaveras Big Trees and Big Basin State Park. I love anything to do with the great out doors and can't wait for spring time when I can pack up and go again( I don't like the cold weather for camping). This yeah I plan to try some beach camping for the first time. I go camping mostly by myself being that I don't have a family but I really enjoy the solitude and quiet. Have you ever been camping in the deasert? please let me know how it is if you have.

I've been to two TT campgrounds-one in Santa Barbara and the other in Acton and both were very nice. We'd like to join but it's just not in the budget right now.

any one belong to Thousand Trails Naco. in CA. my hubby and I do alot of camping mostly in the ttn/naco camp grounds.

I'm not quite sure where in IA you are, but we're in Omaha, NE and we do tons of camping. We may not get out as much this summer due to me having surgery June 25th! But ya never know! We like to go camping all over so if I am feeling okay, we may be able to hook up if you're not too far away!
