What was your best Cruise
Good Morning Jack!
Dan, The Travel Man here. I can't decide wshich was the best. It's between 2 different itineries...the Exotic Caribbean and Alaska. Both I did on Norwegian Cruise Lines. Both were outstanding.
As you know, we (Obesity Help and All-Star Cruises & Travel) are hosting a wonderful Hawaii Cruise scheduled for November of 2006. Would love to have you along. Details can be found at www.DanTheTravelMan.com or call me at 800-818-3739.
Respectfully,
Dan Schmier
Hi,
Good question. We love cruises, although we have not been on one in a while, but I think for us, as with lots of people I have heard from, the first cruise is always the best. We were on The Big Red Boat, which is no longer in service, but the service on that boat was outstanding, the food was wonderful, and it was at a time when our kids were old enough to appreciate it, but not too old to be too cool for it.
The other cruise I think I can count as my most favorite, but at the time did not like until I cruised others, Carnival, The Destiny,
Miami, St Thomas, St. Croix and Bahamas itinerary. It was great. The food was not much to write home about, but the room was gorgeous and service was "okay".
How about the WORST cruise.....RCCL, Voyager of the Seas, what a terrible ship that was. While the ship itself was beautiful, the entire ship was sick, someone brought on board an illness, and for the first time in my life, I had to go to the ship's doctor with my son for IV's and meds to keep us from throwing up
The whole crew was there as well, and my mom had to stay in her cabin cause she was sooo sick.
I do not care for RCCL, the service and food (before we were all ill) was terrible.
My parents favorite is Celebrity, but have not tried them yet...maybe next year! We have decided we like the smaller ships better than the bigger ones.
thanks, great question!
Deb

Jack,
Nice ot see another Florida person on the board. Connie and I depart this morning on the Carnival "Inspriration" for a 5 day tour. Will let you know how that goes. This will be our first cruise. I had vowed after I retires from the Coast Guard never to set foot on a ocean going vessel again LOL . Never say never I guess.

Jack,
The cruise was AWESOME, the service, the food ( I stuck to fish and veggies as much as possible). We hit the casino and walked away ahead. We, (PC) and I danced like no one was watching PC is my wife's nickname stands for Princess Connie LOL. We went swiming with the stingrays, toured the Turtle farm, and spent time in Hell, while in the Grand Caymans. They the next day we where in Costa Maya Mexico. We spent time shopping and I had to have a cuban cigar just to say I smoked one. This was my first cruise and I can say I will do it again in the future. And believe it or not I actually lost a couple of pounds, I always used the stairways and did alot of walking. PC stayed the same as far as the weight goes. Our trip was somewhat rough due to the weather as well, I noticed alot of folks with those seasick patches behind their ear. It was a great way to celebrate our 34th anniversary
Best regards,
Steve
