Topic: RE: What was your best Cruise
Hi, Good question. We love cruises, although we have not been on one in a while, but I think for us, as with lots of people I have heard from, the first cruise is always the best. We were on The Big Red Boat, which is no longer in service, but the service on that boat was outstanding, the food was wonderful, and it was at a time when our kids were old enough to appreciate it, but not too old to be too cool for it. The other cruise I think I can count as my most favorite, but at the time did not like until I cruised others, Carnival, The Destiny, Miami, St Thomas, St. Croix and Bahamas itinerary. It was great. The food was not much to write home about, but the room was gorgeous and service was "okay". How about the WORST cruise.....RCCL, Voyager of the Seas, what a terrible ship that was. While the ship itself was beautiful, the entire ship was sick, someone brought on board an illness, and for the first time in my life, I had to go to the ship's doctor with my son for IV's and meds to keep us from throwing up The whole crew was there as well, and my mom had to stay in her cabin cause she was sooo sick. I do not care for RCCL, the service and food (before we were all ill) was terrible. My parents favorite is Celebrity, but have not tried them yet...maybe next year! We have decided we like the smaller ships better than the bigger ones. thanks, great question! Deb

Heather, Keep your chin up. You will love the Conquest. We did the cruise from NOLA last Novmber. Our favorite cruise yet. The ship is huge. We are leaving from Galveston on the NCL Dream in 33 days! YEAH I can't wait. I'll let you know the condition of the port when we get back. I'm sure it will be totally fixed by August.

Next August my family and I will be cruising on the Conquest. It was originally supposed to embark from New Orleans. Then Katrina hit. Obviously that is not going to happen so they moved our embarkation to Galveston, Texas. Now Rita is heading towards Galveston. They already gave us a discount because of Katrina, now what? It is so ironic. Gosh, if I didn't love cruises so much this would freak me out!! Next year's cruise will be my eighth cruise! I LOVE CRUISING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! ~Heather
