I hope that they got you a roommate for the cruise. I had the travel agent get my roommate. Look forward to meeting somebody from the east coast on the cruise. Jane

I agree with Cheryl about the timing of the cruise. My son's honeymoon was nearly ruined by Hurrican Floyd in mid-Sept '99. I cruised on RC Adventure of the Seas in mid-March '04, no problem whatsoever. Planning to cruise again in March '06. God bless those huge ships--had no motion sickness even though I've always had a problem with that. (The cruise in '06 will be post-surgery, so that aspect will be new for me. Any feedback on eating right while cruising?)

We asked them to take them away as we do not drink a 1/2 hour before, during our meal or 1/2 hour after our meals. This way the food stays in our pouch and we get all of the protien and nutruition absorbsion that we can. We also stay full much longer between meals thus avoiding the need to graze. This is what our doctor recommended and I must say it works.

Sorry, I didn't reply sooner. Our cruise was wonderful. Both my hubby and I had the surgery so we were in it together. We were both so much more active. We took the stairs all the time, ate what we wanted including Ice Cream at 3am, and still lost weight. We are planning on going again next February 2006. This time on the Carnival Legend for 8 days to St. Martin, Barbados and Martinique. I can't wait. Any plans for future cruises yourself? (So, I know others read this post, if there are any other takers we'd love to travel with others that eat the way we do. Let me know.) How was your last cruise? I hope you had as good of a time as we did. Look forward to hearing about it. Stephanie RnY 4/204 down 102#

Topic: RE: Hello fellow cruisers!
hey Joe! We are planning on going on the Legend next Febrary. Will you please let me now how your cruise goes? What was your dining room experience like? Lot's of kids on board? We went cruisin last February and there was a mess of them little varmints on board and they ran in packs with no adult supervision. Kind of spoiled the ambience of the cruise. Food was delicious on the the Glory and the Victory though. They were very very accomadating to us, even removing our water glasses before we sat down Hoping the food and entertainment is just as good on the Legend. Let me know how it goes for you will ya? Thanks. Stephanie RNY 4/27/04 down 102#

Hi gyuy! My hubby and I both had surgery last year and went on a cruise in February. Carnival was wonderful to us. They removed our water glasses automatically after the first night. They also were very gracious when we explained what we could and couldn't eat. We ordered off all of the menus. We always took the stairs and ate ice cream under the stars every night. We lost weight and didn't gain. We were able to dance and be weigh more active than ever before. We are planning another cruise on the Carnival Legend in February of 2006 and are really looking forward to it. Hope you enjoy yourself as much as we did!

I am really surprised about a Royal Caribbean cruise being bad. I have taken at least 7 cruises with the line and all have been GREAT! If your sister had complaints, she should call or email RCCL. The timing in Sept. may not be so good. It is hurricane season. We always avoid that time of year - mid August until late Oct. Cheryl

Hey All! Has anyone done this cruise? My sister's friend went on this and they had a horrible time. Bad food, sick, etc. We were planning on going this Sept. Please email me and let me know, [email protected]. God Bless, MaryKaye
