Belly Dancing

Anyone interested in Belly Dancing...now that I've hit the 200lb loss...I have sooo much energy and have taken up belly dancing which has always been a passion of mine. I use the music of Dead Can Dance and Lisa Gerrard. Anyone else got great music ideas or in the Monterey Bay area that is dancing?? Would love to talk...just on my own right now..have to be careful certain movements..but love to start in shower in the mornings and get my day going...happy dancing, all!

I go on May 24th....and my goal is 177 lbs off....I am glad to see you've been at this for 2 years and sound and look so great! When my psychologist asked what I wanted to do most after surgery and wt loss....I told her.........DANCE! I miss dancing with my sweetheart! We have talked about taking up ballroom dancing and Saturday Night Fever dancing lessons together when she can get close to me! LOL! So Belly Dance On!! Blessings! Sally ps......I lived as a toddler in Monterey Bay, my dad went to the language school there....and we took a summer vacation trip last summer to CA....stoped overnight in Monterey....what a beautiful area you live in! You know, I have kept in contact with a group, but have never gone. I really should give it a try.

I started tribal fusion dance back in '98, and unfortunately haven't been able to dance much for the last couple years as I gained more and my knees went out. Hoping to jump back in full-force after surgery. DCD is great to dance to, so is some of Loreena McKennitt's stuff. I live up in Sacramento and we have some reeeeally good tribal folks up here. ~ C

Since I was a small girl I wanted to dance and never got the opportunity. I had never really thought about belly dancing but after readying your's and Lou Ann's post I think I will look into it. joni 6.27.2005.RNY

I cant wait to belly dance. It is something I have wanted to do for quite some time. I did a little while obese, but now that I am losing the weight I cant wait to do it more often.

I plsn on going to Fat Chance Belly Dance which is for all ages, shapes and sizes here in San Francisco..they say it is very sensual. Glenna, let me know when you start dancing out and I'll drive down to go dancing with you!
