Topic: Belly dancing post op?
Hi all, I had my surgery on 1/19/05. I used to be a semi professional belly dancer in my 20's. Then I stopped dancing, had babies, and kept eating all that great middle eastern food. You figure it out. Yup. Balloon city. Well.....NOW THAT IS GOING TO CHANGE!!!! I may not dance bare belly again(too many scars) but I will dance modestly covered with a tummy veil. I loved it, it made me feel sexy, and I had great posture and carriage while I was active. I felt like a woman. Would love to hear from any others who were or want to be belly dancers; especially in Texas. Lou Ann Gramann

Topic: I can Dance all night long!
I just had to share that I can now dance all night long without having to stop because my feet are killing me after 2 songs and because I need to catch my breath. I have danced more in the last 2 months than I have in years and I LOVE IT! I love this surgery! 264/186/130

I bought a PS2 and DDR for my daughter's 18th birthday. I love to dance so this a perfect kind of exercise for me, although I do most of my exercising at the gym. It is cool though! Theresa -52

Anyone use DDR as thier main form of excercise? Were it not for this game (can get it on playstation, ps2, or xbox), I would get very little excercise. One of the most fun ways to get yourself working out Just takes a bit of eye-feet coordination, hehe.

Topic: RE: Ballroom Dancing
Once upon a time when I was thin, I was a semi-professional dancer, dancing for the Chiefs (football team) and such. I never learned how to ballroom dance, but would love to. I would have to find a partner, though, since my hubby couldn't dance to save his life & doesn't care to. I just heard that someone is trying to have ballroom dancing become an Olympic event. I would get into that, after I have my surgery, if I could afford to get started! Sam

I love to dance and I use the walkman when I exercise. I have found some great dance music. If you have a Borders book store, or any music store, go to the "Dance" music section, and pick out something from various artists. This way if you don't like one song, chances are there are 10 others you do like. They have so many compilations to choose from. This is what I do. If you are really feeling adventurous, try something labeled "techno"... Good luck, Anne
