Wow! A dispatchers forum!

Cool! My guess is a lot of dispatchers are either considering, or have had this surgery. It's a personality thing. I'v been dispatching police and ems for six years. My surgery is scheduled for May 21st.

Diana - A fellow Oregonian! I have never heard of Cheshire though! I have to agree with you - our personalities of being "spur of the moment" kinds of people coupled with the long hours sitting at a console make for that ol' dispatchers spread!
