Different types of surgeries
Hi all! 
I have been a 911 Dispatcher for the past nine years. I just moved to MN from VA in 5/04 & have been working for the Washington County Sheriff's Office since 6/04. I just LOVE my job! 
I have been thinking about getting WLS for about a year now & just last week had a consultation with my PCP & had some bloodwork done. I also have a referral to a Dietician which I'll take care of after the new year (no one works this time of year except us! 
) I've heard that there are different types of surgeries, but the one I've heard the most about is the lap band. Can someone please tell me what the differences are between all of the surgeries? I've also heard the term "dumping." What does that mean? 
The more I hear the success stories, the more I'm sure this is what I want to do.
