Consultation/Appointment today

Sherri,
You have to keep us posted.. do you have an appt with the Dr's partner? Or are you just going to try the Metabolic Research center? I don't see why ins companies make everything so difficult when apply for the surgery, the long term resutls if we don't get the surgery are higher!
Good Luck..
Brianna
I have not scheduled an appointment with his Partner. The nurse and the other Dr were going to look over my file and call me. So, I just feel like right now, to show I've tried something else after talking with them, that I'll go ahead and get started at the metabolic research center.
I intend on giving it my all, and if it doesn't work, going thru with RNY or Lapband one. Even if it's on my own dime.

Wow - that is really aggrivating Sherri! I still say that people need to start shrinking. It's pretty easy to do...slump! Most people fudge their height the other way - heck, maybe you'd be at a high enough bmi if you really were measured for your real height, huh?
Good luck on getting this done. Keep pushing and don't take no for an answer. What are they going to do, deny you again?

I wi**** would work!! I have always been 5'2, but then at the Dr's appointment a few weeks ago he told me I was 5'1 when they measured me. So, that's why I went forward with the appt with the bariatric surgeon, hoping it would be enough. It's close, but he's still not 100% sold on trying it on me. That's fine, I'd rather know I have an honest Dr who is going to shoot straight with me. My husband was very impressed with him and his honesty. So, I think if I go forward with this Metabolic Research Center, and go back to him, it will put his mind at ease that I have not just given up and thought that WLS was an easy way out. I know there is nothing easy about WLS. It's a life change too, but it does give some help to the person trying.
