New job!!!
The police Chief just called me.....I've got the Secretary's job I interviewed for! He's sending the paperwork over to be checked off by our city manager. I can't wait.... Monday-Friday, 8-5. I'll actually have holidays and weekends off. I'll have the same benefits, insurance, and not be in freaking lock down! No more rotating shifts. No more screaming mothers saying their baby's not breathing! No more children crying running away from abusive homes. Just paper work, police officers and my own freaking office!! I can't believe it. It's a cut in pay. Not much, only $25.00 a week, but I can deal with that. Knowing my hours, and that I can have holidays with my family means alot! My mom has been harping on me about not spending enough time with Granny since she's been so sick. I can't take Trey to his practices because I'm asleep before work or have to leave before it's over with.
Had to share...... I am excited; mainly for my family life....
I hate to leave dispatching, but at least I'm still in law enforcement in a minor way.
