Hello!!

Haven't stopped by to check on the board in a while...but hope to be more active with posting with my fellow dispatchers on the board!!! I'm finding now that I am post-op, I have a REALLY hard time sitting still all night at work.....I am in a large dispatch center with about 100 people working the shift....we wear headsets so you are kinda limited on how far away you can walk from the radio console. I've been stretching that cord though!! My uniforms are starting to get too big!!! How cool is that!?!?! I have NEVER gone down in clothes sizes before.... Hope to hear from you all !!! Paula

Hi Sherri, LOL...Yes, I should buy some new uniforms (especially the pants...they are really baggy)....but it's so expen$ive!!! However, I have no problem spending money on other clothes. Went a little crazy shopping at Marshalls (oh, I love that place!!!) but it was for winter coat(s), boots, etc.... I am loving this journey so far!!! Paula

Paula - Congratulations on losing your shirt, so to speak. I would love to see your dispatch center one of these days. I have never observed a large city in action like that before. It would be neat to see how it works. We have a max of 7 dispatchers and 2-3 calltakers and a supervisor on during busy times so that would be quite the change! I'm so happy to see an update from you. I was wondering how you were doing. How much have you lost so far??? Dina
