Just one of those days~~~

Well, yesterday was just one of those days. Anything that could go wrong, did go wrong. First of all, I got up and went to wash clothes, and somehow, my 4 year old managed to throw his new red coat in the washing machine after I got it started with white clothes, and I didn't hear it, or know it, until I got pink laundry out. I didn't lose it though. I just got it out, and poured in some bleach and restarted it to see if it would help. (It did a little, but not much) I finished doing my thing, and then calmly explained to him why mommy seperates the clothes. After lunch, I had my check up with my regular Dr who is a family friend too. He told me there was no need in planning on going to Mardi Gras this year, that it was going to be alot less impressive than normal. His nurse, who is my best friend, has cancelled her reservations. I was somewhat disappointed and asked her if they still wanted to take a vacation at that time, and let's do something together, like we planned. She said they were going to do something else later on. No problem. I come home to find my reservation saved in my email, and guess what?? My computer gave me the "tone of death". I was mortified. It would not reboot, nothing!! So, we take it to Circuit City. I just had a new graphics card put in last week, and extra ram put in last MONTH!! Well, it would cost more to fix it, than it was worth. So, I bought a new one. I was lucky enough that they could take the memory card out and put in this new one, so I didn't lose EVERYTHING. I did lose some stuff, but not my photos and stuff. They were nice enough to swap my graphics card out and upgrade this one for me. No extra charge. But, I get home and I didn't fill my antibiotic prescription because I thought it was just a sinus thing, and @ 3am this morning, I am burning up with fever and chills, and can't talk. My throat was killing me. Needless to say, DH got it filled this morning, and brought home my new computer. I took off work tonight to get some rest, but now that he got my computer hooked up, and I had check in and vent! I was going thru withdrawals! Sorry for rambling on. Hope everyone has a happy new year. Sherri

It will be better, I'm sure. I will be at work bringing in the New year, but I only have tonite, tomorrow night, and next Fri & Sat night to work in dispatch, then I begin my new job for the Police Department as Records Secretary. It's getting better by the minute. Happy New Year! Sherri

Hi, Dina! I hadn't posted to the Dispatch board until this post. It took me about a month and a half of being a member of OH to figure out how to put my interests on my profile, therefore opening up the other boards for my perusal! I look forward to discussing not only WLS topics with you guys, but also blowing off steam about our profession. ~Victoria

Having my own 4 year old I can empathize with you! Thankfully I don't have pink laundry, but we all have certain things that are specially "touched" by our little ones, huh? ;) I'm sorry to hear about your being sick. I've been on vacation for the past 2 weeks and sick the whole blasted time. I always tend to get really sick when I have vacation. Maybe I should start taking vacation in the summer, huh? ;) I hope you have a nice mellow night tonight. I know that is an oxymoron for New Year's Eve, but one can always hope! But look on the bright side - you got a brand new computer! I'm always up for that! LOL! Dina
