Ringing in 2006!!!

Hello!!! Well, I survived another New Year's Eve!!! After getting our butts kicked all night, the nex****ch was looking for volunteers to stay for overtime. (Keeping in mind, it being a Holiday, etc....it would be paid at double-time and a half.....) I just couldn't do it!!! I'm kicking myself now, but at 6am, when our shift was over...the thought of being in that place for even an extra minute was unbearable. One more night to go til my days off.......it's been a long week!!! Hope y'all had a safe and happy start to 2006. Paula

I don't blame you Paula! Sometimes the overtime....even if it is double time and a half, isn't WORTH IT. People out in the private sector just don't get it when I say I would rather have my time off than work any overtime. They think I'm crazy. Or perhaps overpaid. But I just see my personal time as that valuable. Have a good night tonight. No doubt I will be pulling my hair out right along with you tonight! Dina

Paula, I don't blame you. money isn't going to do much good when they take you away to a nice padded room ha ha! You get double time and half for holiday ot!!?? we get it for regular hours worked, but if we work ot it drops to time and half!!! cheap county haha! I am glad you made it through the night!!!
