don't no how

i got here but i am so thankful. i have been looking how to become a dispatcher had no clue that i could find out here so please help tell me how to get started do i have to go to school is it hard i have no clue do you enjoy your jobs please let me no

I guess it all depends on where you live.. in our county, I didn't need experience, just a basic knowledge of the county (which I didn't really have, but learned quickly) I went to the local Career Link and applied there.. was trained, then thrown to the wolves!! I loved my job, but it is stressful. At times you will be bored out of your mind, and others you will be losing your mind in sheer caios!! You need to just check with the local agencies around you and see what their job requirements are. Most do offer some sort of on the job training. There are more requirements at certain agencies than at others. But, all of those are acheived in time. Check around! Good luck! Sherri
