Hi Everyone,
Who knew they would have a msg board for dispatchers?
It will be great to get to know some dispatchers from around the country.
I've been a Sheriff dispatcher for 13 years now and I'm just starting this process of WLS. I saw my surgeon yesterday and am hoping to get approved for the Lap Band. Good luck to all of you and I hope to make some new friends here.

Hello everyone, 
I've been a police dispatcher for 16 years in Chicago,IL.
At this point, I know that I need to do SOMETHING but not really sure where to begin. I've made a reservation to attend a seminar this Saturday and will hopefully be taking steps in the right direction, whatever that might be!
I'm looking forward to hearing from other folks and would appreciate any guidance you can offer.

I'm so happy I have people who can relate! I have surgery tomorrow morning (Oct. 4 @ 0700) and in the 18 years of dispatching I have never been this nervous! My hands are actually sweaty! Lord help me calm down and get a couple hours of sleep before my whole life changes! Chat later to give update on how things went!

My name is Tami, I've been around fire and ems for 16 years. I've been trained as a firefighter, medic and have been dispatching for 10 years now with a small fire department in central Ohio.
I talked to Anne today at Barix and have an appointment for next week. I hope all goes well. I'm kind of anxious looking forward to it.

Welcome, I will test for my medic in Nov. (Missouri) Yes everyone I am still alive. Been over on the Missouri boards alot. We need to jump start these boards. Seems like when summer came it died down.
