Hi All! I'm new to this board

Hello everyone. My name is Laurie and the absolute love of my life is my sweet baby Sheila. See my profile, she is there in the picture with me! Sheila is Aussie/Akita mix. She has been my furry child since she was 6 weeks old and could have fit in a shoebox. She is 12 years old now and 85 lbs and I am grateful for every day I have with her! Sheila's best friend is Blondie, our white lab who is also about 12 yrs old. I call them the two-headed dog because they are always together, hip to hip !

Sheila is lovely! Wow...two rather large dogs! I have an 8 yr old border collie/aussie mix(Balto) and a newly adopted 5 yr old beagle (Max).

I agree about the intelligence. Balto is very smart. The herding instinct makes me laugh though. When we first brought Max home on Sunday night, Balto tried to kill him....the 5yr old overweight, slightly lame, beagle was a threat perhaps? Now he is part of the herd. Balto is keeping track of him. Too funny.

I also have labs, I have 8. I have a 1 1/2 year old male (black) 13 month old Female( chocolate) and 6 puppies that are 5 weeks old today!! They are my children and the light of my life!! Kris

Welcome Kristin! Labs are very cool. If yours are anything like ours, you have your hands full! Our Blondie is a real character! She's an escape artist and a thief, but she can't get away with anything because she looks SO guilty! My grandma adopted her after my uncle died, then we adopted her when my grandma died. Now she has three sisters and two cats!
