Any Dachshund Lovers out there???

Hey there,
I have 2 mini doxies, Rufus and Hazel. Rufus is a short haired with a beautiful red coat and Hazel is a *****y long haired brown with black ears. They are stuborn as could be but I love them! Rufus is obessed with birds and actually caught one last week. I was horrified but he was so proud of himself. Now if I could only get them to stop barking!!

My son asked for one for his 9th birthday. We just got a 6 week old blk and tan mini. He cried he was so happy. He named her Cocoa and has been calling her C.C.
We had 3 before that passed on from old age. Their names were Opie, Aunt Bea and Otis! Can you tell what show we watched a little too much.
I am scheduled for surgery 8/23 so excited that I will have a bed partner to suggle up with when I get home.

Yep I love my dachshunds or as i refer to them as my weiners. I have an 8 year old red one named Scarlet. She is our baby. She is really our daughters but we all claim her. Then I have a year old tiny male named Murphee. He weighs about 4 lbs and is in to EVERYTHING!!!!!! When he is not in view I assure you he is in to something. Usually chewing up something or agrivating my cat. They are a joy. Can't imagine my life without my sweet weiner dogs. Dona
I am having an Open RNY on Nov. 10th
......I will miss my three mini dachshunds like crazy while I am away. We also call our dogs "the wieners"! We have a SH red female named Roxy, a SH black and tan named Deuce and the old gal, Winger, who is a SH dapple who only has three legs as the result of a birth defect. (Shhhh! We've never told her she is different!) I never thought I would like small dogs, but these guys have me and my family hooked.
As a matter of fact, my husband and I bought a bigger bed
to accomodate the three dogs and us! Bless their little hearts! Kathleen

I have 3 little red smooth wieners, all female: Bunny, my oldest, is 14 and about 15 lbs. I love her more than I can say. The next is Gaby, she's almost 9 and about 14 lbs., and lives up to her name. She's rather vocal. She was my parents' dog, but when they died I took her, and we love her dearly too. My youngest is a true miniature, Tinkertoy (but we just call her Tinker), 5 years and she's just over 9 lbs and the sweetest dog in the world. There's no one or nothing she doesn't like. She and Gaby are best buddies.
I wouldn't trade any of them for anything. It's amazing the amount of joy and pleasure we get from them. And yes, we have a king size bed so everyone will fit!! They are my kids (there are no human ones), and sometimes I long for another "baby" but my husband says no...lol.
Can't ever have too many wieners, I think.
