Why do other dogs bite my dog????
Here I am trying to get some variety in my exercise, so I tried taking my dog for a walk. There's a big park near us with a good walking trail, and people bring their dogs all the time. The dogs are off-leash, and everybody seems to have a good time ... except for my poor baby, a female Weimaraner. She's shy around other dogs anyway, and I was hoping that she would get used to just sniffing and being sniffed. Instead, while the poor thing was getting sniffed by a family of chocolate labs, one of them -- or maybe two -- bit her! Broke the skin and everything.
The people apologized, but my dog is now more scared of other dogs than before. I can't really blame her. Any ideas from you dog-lovers out there?

She may have been being shown that she is the omega dog to them. Since they are "family", and you were the outsider. I am sorry to hear about her being skiddish about other dogs now....it really is hard, coz you love her.
What about LEASH LAWS???? I would report to the police dept that you can not even take yourself and your friend out for a walk due to other dogs being off-leash. THat is ussually a law in most towns.
As for help - try obediance trainingl, that way, in a controlled environment, she can be exposed to other dogs. I do not have any other suggestions, other than maybe if you have some friends with dogs, that you can have some "socials" together, doggie parties - you know.
