Hi Karen, I have a beautiful 6 year old fawn pug named Angel. She is AWESOME! I have been a pug lover since we got our first one in 1978. I have had one ever since. I also have an older rescue dog, she is not a pug she is an Affenpinshcer. She is cute and I love her but you can tell a big difference between the personality of a Pug and other breeds. Other than the shedding, I think Pugs make the perfect pet. They are smart, funny and loving. Write back and tell me about your pugs. Nice to see another pug person. Mary

Hi Karen, This is the first time I've been on this board. I have a pug mix and she is the greatest. She is a rescue baby and I got her from Pug Rescue of NC (before I moved to CT) 5 years ago. I'll have to scan her picture to send to you. She's very cute. She weighs 26 lbs (large for a pug, but she's longer and taller than a pug - and a little overweight). I've heard that she looks like she's mixed with chihuahua, but really, I'm not sure. I always thought that chihuahua's were small. I really am in love with pugs. I think they are the greatest dog out there. Mine (Maggie) is so funny and has the greatest little personality. We are going to a Pug social in the beginning of October to benefit Pug Rescue of New England. That is going to be comical - all those pugs running around! I can't wait. Thanks for the post! You are not alone - there are other pug lovers out there!!!! Have a good one! Michelle

Hi Michelle, You're right pugs are the greatest. That's why I have three and if I had more room it would be more because I can't resist the puppies! I live in Maine, I'd love to go to the pug social. I've heard of it before. Isn't it held in Mass? Can you let me know when and where? Thanks, Karen

Hi karen - sorry it took me so long to respond to you - the pug social is tomorrow in Mass. I can't remember where - you can go to the PRONE (Pug Rescue of New England) website to get the info. Unfortunately, we can't go Oh well, maybe next year! Let me know if you end up going! Michelle

I know what you mean, it so sad to think about life without them. Pugs can live 15 years and up, not long enough I know. My oldest pug is now 4 the youngest is a year they are healthy so thankfully I won't have to think about that for a long time! I hope you won't either!
