Any Jack Russell experts?

I have a 4 year old spoiled rotton Jack Russell/Fox terrier mix. She is a wonderful dog. I love her as much as my kiddo. A person in town is having to give away a full blooded Jack Russell puppy - 6 months old. She brought it over and wanted me to take it. My dog did not act happy with the situation and I had a flashback to three years ago when we tried to keep her with my deceased grandmother's poodle...ended up having to give the poodle away because she wouldn't get along with her. Is there any hope? I told them to take the puppy bac****il I could get further information. I am gone to work allot and I would think it would be great for my dog to have the company but I sure don't wanna have them fights around again that I remember with the poodle. I believe we tried that for at least 2 months or so.

So how did it turn out for you? Did you accept the new puppy or home still running as usual? Most homes with Jack Russells either have the dog running the house or else the owner is a VERY VERY controlling person. You sound easy going with a lot of empathy... and concern for others...
