http://www.petfinder.com Shih Itzu (sp) are really small and gentle with children. Or there are many breeds that are mixed with poodles if anyone has allergies in your family. I would check with your local animal shelter or even PetSmart has adoption days. Sorry to hear about your doggie!

its tough for a young child when their dog is real sick but you should checked the local newspaper ads.Contact your local vet maybe they know someone who can not take care of a dog and is looking for a good home to go too.I wish you the best and I know when you find one your daughter life will be great because she has a good mother.bob

Topic: RE: Natural Dog Food...............
Have you considered going totally raw?? My dogs do so well on a raw diet, no allergies, no doggy smell, and a lot less waste! If you are going raw, you might want to check some web sites...just type in raw diet dogs, or B.A.R.F. (bones and raw foods) Joan Divide, CO

I am looking for a dog for my 3 year old daughter (who is great with animals). We found a stray last Christmas Eve and decided to keep her but she is in failing health. She is blind, can't hear, has a neurological disorder and gets pneumonia quite easily. My daughter is heartbroken and I really want to get her another dog, small breed preferable (nothing bigger than a ****er Spaniel). I don't have a great deal of money but willing to work things out. I have checked the local shelters and pet rescue organizations but they have a strict rule about adopting small dogs in rescue to homes with small children. Can anyone help?

Oh my gosh you guys, she had only one puppy! One little boy which was what we were hoping for. She had to go in last Saturday and have a c-section because he was a hog dog!! Shes a great mother and hes a little porker. His color is unique he is white with sable patches with black outlining and a black mask. He weighed a whopping 5oz at birth. I guess he got stuck in the birth canal so they pulled him out. Both momma and son are doing fine. We named him "Duckie" because he has the perfect white outline of a duck in flight on his back. Like I said, he is unique. I guess this means we are keeping him................... lol But for anyone still interested in puppies, we have our chocolate/tan female getting ready to be bred to our blue merle male anyday now. AND WE ARE NOT KEEPING THOSE TOO!!!!!!!!!!!! Michele

Topic: Pet Stop
Hello everyone! Hope all is well with you and your four legged friends. If you haven't heard of it before I highly recommend Pet Stop Containment Systems. They are the underground pet fencing. We have it and it's WONDERFUL!! Once the training is finished you just open the door, they do their business and let 'em back in. No freezing your tush off in the middle of winter waiting for them to find the "perfect spot". Thought I would give an idea.

Topic: RE: What no Schnauzer people here???
I have 4 adult mini schnauzers and 5 4 week old puppies. The puppies will be for sale soon. We usually only breed in the spring but I had my surgery about the time the females were in heat and somehow one of them got together with our male. Oh well, we'll have a little extra Xmas money. All 4 of mine need grooming. I must get that done next week. I groom my own. Linda
