I am late, too. I use Innova and that is all I will use. NO CORN. The dogs have beautiful coats. My sister has a very allergic Rhodesian she feeds Wellness Venison. What anyone ends up buying may be dependent upon what is available locally. Flint River is not available here, nor Eagle pack, Canidae isn't either. The dogs preferred Innova to California Natural, so I switched to that. They are made by the same company in CA. I also supplement with raw beef bones. Just found out about this board. Glad to find it--- Now if I could just solve the dog arguments! Lois Rockbridge Co., VA

Weighing in kind of late, but I have both my dogs on a combo of wet and dry from Wellness. It is one of the top foods out there. They have several types and flavors of dry and wet food. We usually get the dry chicken and all of the wet (turkey, whitefish, chicken, lamb, venison and duck). We also use Mrs. Hubbard's treats. Good luck!

Topic: Beagle Lovers
Hi I just had to say that I am totally in love with my Beagle, he is 7 1/2 years old and starting to get in ill health. He is me, in dog form, we both are overweight (hopefully not long for me thanks to my new lap band), have red hair, have sensitive tummys, allergies, and are very very affectionate to those we love, and even some we don't love. His name is Russell with many side names, Russ Russ Baby to go, muss muss me are, ruddle duddle do, and so many more. I have created a special voice just for him, and believe you me it's contagious, everyone in my family talks like him now...hehe. I've often thought about doing a cartoon character about Russell's many adventures (and believe you me, there have been so many). Who knows maybe someday I will. Take Care, Amy - Russell's momma

Topic: RE: spoiled Jack Russell
We have a 2 year old JRT named Romeo, we adopted him from the JRT Rescue here in Houston, TX. He is not your typical JRT, he is very submissive and shy. He loves to lay in his cage or curled up in our bed, he is my wonderful husband's dog and my dog is our 7 year old Beagle named Russell. I wouldn't say we spoil him to the degree you do, he has his toys (and does he ever love them - YES), he doesn't eat much, like a cup of food a day (boy wouldn't that be nice) and every great once in a while my husband will take him in the shower with him. Guess who gets to dry him...hmmpp! Anyway, I feed my dogs off of my spoon or fork, depending on what I'm eating, they like malt of meal, oatmeal and green beans...I wouldn't take the food out of my mouth for them, but don't mind sharing if it's healthy for them. We always kennel our babies at the Vet's office when we go on vacation, it's better safe than sorry. Can you imagine loosing your baby 1000 miles away from home! OH I can't even bear the thought, perhaps it's the countless times the Beagle has had me and all of the neighborhood kids chasing him because he caught a scent and off he went without regard to his surroundings. Nothing wrong with spoiling your baby, trust me I love my babies tremendously and am very attached...my Beagle Baby is in ill health since he's gotten a little bit older - very typical for the breed...the JRT is as healthy as a horse. All I can say is she's your baby and you do what you feel is right, however I would nip the baths in the bud, you could inadvertantly cause skin problems and you wouldn't want to hurt your baby would you? Take Care and God Bless, Amy
