Ya mean people actually have OTHER BREEDS?????? I am SHOCKED, and AMAZED!...LOL! I have a 10 month old little boy right now. Sadly, my 9yr old was taken from me last June. But, McKenzie came into my life and took over, as they do! Wanna talk about a king-size bed HOG? He's only 3.2 lbs. and I wake up in the morning hugging the edge of that bed! If I had the money and the space, I would have a ga-zillion of em!

Topic: Love my Bichons
We got our 1st Bichon Frise puppy in Oct04, she was 10 wks old and when we brought her home she fell in love with the kitty we had..lol..they would tumble around and play for hours. We then got our 2nd Bichon puppy in Dec.04, and he was 5 1/2 months old. Our females name is Kassandra(Kassi for short) she is still our wild child, the male is "All That Jazz" Lee, Jaz or Jazlee for short and he is so mellow. He is mommas boy for sure. They are going to be bred when they are old enough. Maybe in another couple years. As I sit at the computer they are both under my feet, where they always are when I am here. I have started to do some grooming on them. Their daddy baths them evey Saturday evening and I do the grooming. I must say they are both great at sit still for me while I take my sweet time..lol..they both sleep wtih us.. I know that is not what they should do, but hey mom could not say no!!! Is there anyone out there that has Bichon Frise' and can let me in on what to expect as they grow? Antyhing you might like to share will be great. Thanks in advance. Paula from Maine

Topic: RE: Litter Training puppies???
Hello, I have two Chi puppies and both are litter trained and it works wonderfully. It doesnt smell like a cat box and they fit in there just fine. If you dont wanna send your dog outside to do their business try the litter box. It took mine about two days to learn. Michele

Topic: My Passion!!
Hey everyone, my name is Michele and I wanted to express my feelings towards what I feel is the most wonderful and loyal companion I have ever had the pleasure of owning! I raised and bred American Pit Bull Terriers for over 8 years and never had one become aggressive. Genetically, they can be aggressive towards other animals, however, I did not tolerate it with mine and occasionally had altercations but learned how to control them. All of my dogs, both male and female coexisted together in harmony throughout a 24-7, 365 period without ever having a problem. Some would say this is impossible, I disagree. I see reports on these dogs alot, and it sickens me. In a city where I used to live there were several dog attacks and police were forced to shoot the dogs on the spot. Somehow they got my name and number and the television stations called and asked to come to my home and meet my dogs. I accepted. The stations were amazed, we took bones from our dogs mouths, put our hands in their food dishes, played rough with them without them ever trying to be "boss", and they stopped playing on comand without so much as a sour look in our direction. We never sent our dogs to obedience training, and I was never trained how to officially train a dog aggressive by nature. In all I have owned about 200 APBT's all purebred. Well, once I went before the public showing the good side of the APBT, I wa**** with a mess of harrassment from the Animal Shelter. It was horrible. Everyone is intimidated by the dogs, I understand why, but don't try ruining my life, and put my dogs to sleep because I stood up for the breed. These dogs do not simply "turn" without prior warning. Period! There are signs of aggression towards humans. People want to own pit bulls because they are a deterent for burgulars and whatnot, or because they make them look tough, for all the wrong reasons. I have taken on several females brought to me by other people who wanted stud service which I would keep for the duration of their heat cycle. Some of these dogs were simply spoiled. Would growl if you did something they did not like or were unfamiliar with. Well, when they left my house it was no longer a problem. I will never tolerate any dog to growl at me or anyone as long as I am around. I guess I should fear them but I do not. Maybe they sense this and don't give me much flack, who knows. All I know is that after all of this I sold all of my dogs, and kept the only male in my life who was ever loyal to me, my pit bull Neo. He will be 5 years old this Sept and the best friend anyone could ever ask for. I swear hes a human inside, you can see his feelings and expressions as if he were human. Against his genetic makeup, he does not chase cats, dogs, squirrels, people, nothing. He walks without fault without a lead in public places. People and children love him. I take him to the nursing homes and they go nuts for him. But anyhow, I wanted to show my boy off, I welcome any questions anytime about this breed or my dogs. I love to talk about them, and educate people who fear them. I would put my pit bull up against any well mannered dog any day, I just wish people would be responsible before getting one and realize they take a strong owner, not an abusive and ignorant one. If I can find a way to post a pic of Neo I will. For the record, I do now own two teacup Chihuahua's & one pit bull. Thanks for listening everyone. Have a great day and love your dogs. Here is a site owned by my friend Chris where you can see Neo and pics of his puppies. Neo sired puppies to Chris's female Madelyn. http://www.worldwidepitbulls.com/ -Michele

Topic: RE: CHIHUAHUA VITAMINS ?????
I fed my chihuahuas Purina Puppy Chow. Now of course when they got table scraps they thought they were too good to eat the dog food but after a day they would go back to eating it. Have you tried can food? I have a 9 week old puppy now and she loves her can dog food. It's some kind of special brand I got from the breeder to give her and then she told me any kind of Purina dog food is good for them. You might have to drizzle some kind of sauce on dog food to get her to eat. As far as a vitamin, I wasn't told to give her one, she's already had 3 shots and some worm treatments and I'll take her to my vet next month. You can check with your local vet about your little dear. Cat

Topic: RE: Dog cart/wheelchair
Hi Courtney, I just stumbled onto this forum. When our Poodle was 4 (he's 6 now), he ruptured a disc in his back and became paralyzed. I had our vet measure him up, then ordered a cart from K-9 Carts. I also ordered male wraps that I use Huggies or Pampers inside to catch his pee pee. He has never had a rash due to the diapers. It took about 8 months or so, but the nerves in his spine grew around his injury site and reatached themselves (I worked with him every night after work teaching him to stand again, and eventually walk). He walks now, it's a funny walk, but at least he walks. He still wears his male wrap, and can't control when he poops so we are always on poopie alert. I have to keep his chair as he may need it when he gets older, but I have found sites that have refurbished carts. Try to look for Dogon Wheels (something like that), and Dauchsund websites have alot of info on back injuries and wheel carts. Email me with any questions, I'll do what I can to get you the info you need. [email protected] -Liz

Topic: Shih Tzu puppy 13 wks for sale
Hi all, I have one AKC Shih Tzu puppy left (out of 5). She was born 12/3/04. Adorable, loving, paper-trained. She's gold and white with a black mask. Will be about 10 lbs full grown. She is a true lap dog and wiggles her tail excitedly whenever I move. Loves to give hugs. I hate to see her leave, but my surgery is in two weeks (3/28/05), the day after Easter in Lubbock, TX. She'd be a great Easter present. $650. She's in Albuquerque, NM. Will split transportation costs. Blessings to you, Heidi
