Hey all, I have been looking for a puppy for weeks now and I just don't seem to have much luck. I am hoping I can get someone to help me go in the right direction...Does anyone have any idea on where to get a maltese, ****zu,poodle or yorkie or any kind of mix....I decided to take this summer off of school so I could have the time to train him/her. Please help anyone..thanks. Jessica

Topic: RE: Samoyed's?
Thank u very much...She is already so special to us, both puppies are...I am so glad our sheltie is slowly warming up to them. I know she is probably not full stock as she came from the pound, but she sure looks exactly like one. Color, the way her eyes are, her body shape. I don't know alot about samoyeds but they look like beautiful dogs and she is already. Everyone that sees her wants her, lol. We have a appt to get them both spayed at the end of Sept. The vets here won't touch them till they are 6 months old. Getting ready for their second set of shots tomorrow. I am sure they'll like that, not! Thanks again! Angela

Topic: RE: Samoyed's?
Hi,Angela- My name is Phyllis and I am a veterinarian that checks this site every once in awhile. Let me reassure you that Samoyeds are generally delightful dogs- charming, playful personalities and intelligent. As far as size, the females generally are about 40-60 lbs I think- a good medium sized dog. Lots of double coat to care for- frequent grooming is a must, and the girls tend to put on weight in later life(don't we all) and you have to help them keep their girlish figures. Hope this helps, and you may also want to check out more info on the AKC website(www.akc.org) and follow their links for breed specific info. Good luck to you and your pup! Phyllis

Wolves? Oh no, the white one if samoyed will resemble a white fluffy wolf when she's older. We used to live right off the bypass, Westport Rd in a townhouse but last July we bought a house. Its off hwy 62 between Etown and Boston. Do u know where White Castle and Dennys are near 65? I am like 7-8 miles from there. Its still a Etown addy but its in a rural area. Great place for walking. I am a stay at home mom and house wife. Now that I have more energy and feel like working my hubby doesn't want me too. He works for AP Technoglass down on 62 out of town. Been there for 4 yrs now. He loves it. Its night work so gives me a break to read, get online, whatever sometimes lol. He's like big kid when he's home, he has to have my attention all the time. We are usually up around here till 11pm or so. My daughter hopefully will start preschool this fall but I have to call the school over here, Lincoln Trail and see what I need to do to sit her up. I will email u my phone number privately. Maybe we'll get to meet sometime. My hubby and I are always on the look out for people to play cards with, have cookouts, we cookout and I don't get to eat much lol. Oh well. U look good to. I went to your profile and saw your pics and thought, wow, she is so pretty. U don't even look like u need surgery. Congrats on your wedding earlier this year and holler at me anytime. Gotta do the Walmart thing tomorrow and pay bills but I am usually home all the time. Oh well, I like it! Hugs Angela

Lol, hey, neighbor! Well, we have decided to keep them. We were going to give them away cause our sheltie (he's 6 yrs old neutered) is very spoiled and rotten, he has been acting cranky with them but he's getting better. Its only been a week and our vet said it takes time for him to get used to them so we're going to see how it works out. They're so sweet I really hope we can keep them. Both little girls, u can tell one is a shep mix but one is solid white and fluffy. She looks like a samoyed. Both are rotten already. Same here, holler at me anytime Angela [email protected] [email protected] messenger

Topic: Samoyed's?
We were going to try and find new homes for our pups but our older sheltie is tolerating them much better now. I guess it just takes time. When we adopted the pups last week the pound said they were both shep mixes. One is solid white, fluffy and when I emailed pics of them to people from petfinder.com someone said she looked samoyed. I looked up that breed and she looks exactly like a puppy on one of those breeder sites. If she is mixed with a samoyed, I doubt she's full stock coming from a pound, but anyway how is their temperment? Shes 7 weeks now and sweet and playful. Shes very loving and wants to be loved on all the time. I love both the pups already and hope our sheltie continues to get better at tolerating them lol. Also, does this type of dog get real big? Just curious, she could get to the size of a horse and I would still love her... Thanks Angela

Topic: RE: What no Schnauzer people here???
Hi, I have a cross bred Schnauzer. When I first got her at the pound, she looked very much like a Schnauzer but not at about one year of age she is getting a much softer coat and it is light gray with some white. I thought that she might be a cross with a daushound (???) because of the way her hind legs are formed. It really doesn't matter because she is my so sweet, smart, lovable Diamond. Dixie

I am so sorry that you lost your dog. I know the kind of pain that gives one. I am sure that you gave him the best of homes and I know that he knew it. 15 years for a larger dog is very good. I was never able to get that many years out of my purebreds. Dixie
