Starting to get nervous. Have to be at hospital at 4:30am and its 2 1/2 hours away so staying at a hotel the night before. Trying not to show my nervousness to my family since they are so nervous. Been on full liquid all week. Funny thing happen Sat. night my daughter said she saw me eating watered down oatmeal. I don't remember eating this, I dreamed something about it, lucky dietian said it was ok, but still I took a laxative last night to make sure I was cleared out. Surprised they don't order some kind of bowl prep. Guess since they aren't operating on the large intestine, but still they still could nick it. Well talk to yall post op Abby

Good luck, Abby! We will be saving a spot on the bench for you. I've never heard of people sleep eating. That's pretty funny when you think about it. Have a good trip and have someone update us if you can. Your life is about to change in so many good ways!! Jeanie

There are actually two conditions and they are related to both sleep disorders and eating disoders the conditons are: night eating syndrome and sleep-related eating disorder. From what I have read the main difference in the two is that with one you are conscience of what you are eating and the other you are "sleep eating" just like sleep walking you are totally unaware of what you are doing. You're in my thoughts and prayers .... may your surgery go smoothly and your recovery quickly. Regarding eating and not recalling it..... this has happened to me when I take Ambien to fall asleep. I've even ordered stuff off the TV without recall. So, if you are taking Ambien....be careful. Linda
