Updates on Val's life
First thing, the FIL situation!
FIL kept himself pretty scarce after I caught him listening in on my phone call when I was talking to my mom. I don't think I told y'all about his filing charges against my friend for phone harassment. He tried for 'elderly abuse', which I had to giggle at, because he's far too crafty to be some confused elderly person, but they decided to pacify and hold a mediation hearing for phone harrassment charges since he had the recorded answering machine message.
To give you the scenario...my friend's son was kicked out of his girlfriend's parents house and he called my FIL to come get him. Well, FIL sat him with me in my living room and told me that he was waiting for his uncle to get home and he was going to take him there (Mom lives in another state). No biggie, just a little more drama is all.....until I was talking to my friend a week later and she asked me if I had heard anything about her son, because she knew he was kicked out, but nobody knew where he was. I said the last I heard was that her son was staying with his uncle because FIL took him there. Well, she had asked FIL three times if he knew anything, and he lied to her three times and said he had no idea. The reason for this is that they have a money dispute on who owed who, and FIL didn't have a leg to stand on, so he's been doing his best to hurt or inconvenience her any way he can. Needless to say she was furious with him, and left him a furious type of message.
Now, I was so angry at him for filing frivolous charges like this. 
I mean, this woman is 3 states away and only 4'10". She is by no means any kind of a threat to him! I decided to participate in this hearing, and called the mediator and asked them what I could do to give another side of the story. She said all I had to do is write a statement and fax it over to her....so I did. I asked if he had any recordings of my voice that I would use that as evidence against him for illegal phone tapping, and proceeded to also explain in my statement that he was recording my phone calls without my knowledge or permission and that we had asked him to leave when we discovered the equipment plugged into the phone lines.
Well, DH was down to the night before this hearing, so he HAD to talk to him that night. Well, apparently FIL had a hunch the jig was up, because he had already been feeling out the option of moving back to NC t live 
, lining up a house and possibly some side work. DH gave him until Aug 15 to pack up and move out. FIL said he understood that DH had to protect his family, etc, and their relationship is salvaged, although will probably never be the same. Now, ever since that little mediation hearing that amounted only to the suggestion that they not try to talk to each other anymore (like a parent with two siblings), FIL hasn't been in the house at the same time as I have at all. He leaves in the morning and doesn't come bac****il late at night after i go to bed (fine by me). Do you think I made him a little embarrassed and fumbled his evil plan??? Hmmmm
Now, on a lighter note, I hit Gabriel brothers this weekend. For those of you in the upper-right corner of the US, check this place out!!! I'm talking good name-brand clothes that are "Stupid Cheap". I got some Lands End jeans for only $7...and guess what size???? I'm officially a size 14 jeans and a size large top!!!! I paid between $2-5 for each top, too..and size 8 panties....It was about time I ditched the "100 lbs ago panties" from my collection, because they looked like bloomers anymore. I also hit a half-off sale at Goodwill and picked up a pair of size large capris with the QVC tags still on them and I paid all of $2.56 for them!! I've been a size XL at least for as long as I can remember. This surgery is truly amazing!!! I think I REALLy need to do an updated pic now! I remember how cute Sharon T looked in size 14. Maybe I look that cute too?
