How Much Protein???

Would ham roll ups be a good protein source?? Ham with cream cheese with a green onion inside. I am supposed to bring a "protein" dish to pass to our DS support group meeting in two weeks. I thought I'd do lean ham and low fat cream cheese. Any suggestions to add to that for higher protein, maybe instead of the onion, something else inside. Come on guys, be creative!! Thanks alot!!!! Don't keep it too lean, or some people (like me) can tend to get constipated. I'd go for the full fat cream cheese. To get the protein value, you need to get the potion amounts and check the numbers.

I think it sounds yummy, but it would never have crossed my mind to do anything low-fat. It's a DS meeting, not Weigh****chers. Instead of a whole green onion, I might try finely chopped fresh chives. Roz

Hi! I would use regular whipped cream cheese and shredded cheddar. Mix them together with the chives, then spread on ham, and roll up. Or, how about bacon pieces mixed into the cream cheese. Oh, oh, what about .... hey, I'm getting a little too excited here!!!! Linda

I love ham/cream cheese roll ups.. but use dill pickles spears instead of onions. YUMMY!! Stephanie D.
