I think I might try to redecorate the living room, kitchen, dining room/den/office combo. I have been wantin to so this for some time and this just might be the right time. I love parrots and want to do a tropical type theme so that I can use all my beautiful parrots. Since the parrots are all primary colors I'm thinkin I might use muted/pastel shades for the walls/ceilin/trim and then accent with primary....plus white, gotta have white, and just a tad of black. I should do this now cause after my DS I maynot (hopefully) have time. Darlene

OOOOOOOOOOOOO - I want to see it when it's done! How cool is that idea! I'm not a big bird fan (tramatized by birds as a child), but the whole scheme sounds awesome. Kathy

Hey, Darlene!!! I'm a parrot lover myself with a Greenwing Macaw named Harleybird. I would suggest a muted yellow, which would let the parrots colors really stand out.

Darlene - Sounds like fun!! I think those post-decorating pictures will need to be on your profile! Valerie (who is wishing she was a little, tiny bit creative!)

I want a "real" parrot so bad. Maybe I will tell DH thats what I want for Christmas. Valerie, I may just pick your brain thru this . I do have lovely hand carved parrots, very small to very large, resin casted, porcelain and a 3 1/2' heavy brass parrot on a stand. Its beautiful! I also have a wonderful sofa size oil paintin. I'm not a fan of yellow...I'm thinkin pastel and vibrant peaches( walls and accent walls), bamboo on the windows and floor and lots of turquoise, red and cobalt blue, and yes, a bit of yellow. What ya think? Darlene
