Hi Everyone, I was wondering if any of you guys have every tried using Chlorophyll as an internal deodorant (i've seen these pills at health food stores or at http://www.vitacost.com/Natures-Way-Chlorofresh) and does it work? Or should I just try Devrom? Do you know where I can get it from besides on the internet? Thanks so much!!!

I tried both. The Devrom worked better but it didn't do enough to justify taking more pills and the added expense. I invested in better air freshener and as I have added more fiber to my diet, my bm's have become much more regular. I only go in the morning and in the evening. Occassionally I will get off scedule or I will get the tummy upsets from eating to many carbs but overall I am pretty "regular."

The thing that works best and is best for you, is to find a really good "pro-biotic" -- preferably one that is refrigerated. That's the "good bacteria" our gut needs to process the food and eliminate gas, etc. I've used Devrom. Barely made a difference, but with the pro-biotics, there is a huge difference, and it will keep you healthy too. My endocrinologist insisted I be on one. Good luck and keep us posted. Fern B. P.S. There's a product called "Just a Drop" that goes into the toilet bowl prior to -- and it kills all smells. Remarkable. www.prelam.com is the website.

Thanks for the replies Kari and Fern. Can I take both Benefiber and probiotics or does it have to be one or the other? Also, how do I find a good probiotic? What should I look for on the label?

When you look for a pro-biotic, get one that is refrigerated. I was told there was no difference, but THERE IS. And I got deathly ill from an overgrowth of bad bacteria. I'm sure it was because I went to a cheaper, non-refrigerated one. You also want to get a "broad spectrum" pro-biotic. Acidophilus, bifido, bacillus, etc. The more different bacteria, the better. Not just one kind. Health food stores in the refrigerated section usually have a few. I take Metagenics brand and I get it from my doctor. So, look around and ask lots of people. Good luck and keep us posted. Fern B.
