Interesting to see it in writing, isn't it!? I have a few weights I remember.....kindergarten I started at 51lbs and ended at 59lbs. Fifth grade I weighed 52 kg.....which is 114lbs. Seventh grade I was 135, and Sophomore year I was 164.....So I'm somewhere in Freshman year right now. (But I'm considerably shorter than you, considering that you in 4th grade were taller than I am NOW). --BT

Jeanie, I don't have the actual numbers like you do, but I know I weighed 175 in seventh grade, and I know the last time I was a size 10 was when I was 10! (Which would put me at about 155 lbs, I'm guessing.) I also remember my first real "diet" was when I was eight, and I tried to lose 20 pounds to get down to 100 lbs. Man, when you think about that, it really does put things in perspective, huh? I've told people that I'm the same size now as when I was 10 years old, and pretty soon I'll be in single-digit sizes, which I haven't been in since I was in single-digit years... So sad in a way, but awesome now!

Have a great day!

OMG!  This brought back some creepy memories.  They used to gather us in the gym, and write our name, height and weight on a big black board.  I had the second highest weight in the 3rd grade class.  And it was up there for all the other kids to see.  Wonder why I was so brutally teased?  Think anyone would sue if they did that now?

With us, there was no blackboard - they just called it across the room for God & everyone to hear. I was also the 2nd slowest kid in my class - the only one I could run faster than was Gary, who had polio or cerebral palsy - I don't remember which. (He was a cool guy, as I recall). Made for a lot of popularity at gym time, especially when they were letting kids choose teams. (Not!) --BT

We'd all line up and the teacher would announce our weights out loud and those standing close by could hear it. I remember one year this snotty girl heard my weight and went down the line and out into the hallway announcing to everyone that I weighed 75 pounds. I had to laugh, because she left off the "one hundred and." According to her big mouth, I weighed less than everyone else. LOL! They always picked me first for Red Rover games.

I was a normal weight child, and began to put on weight in adolescence.   I weighed between 135 and 145 when I graduated high school, and at 5'4" was just on the plump side (of course, my parents convinced me that I was a fat disgusting pig, but I never had to deal with the teasing and harrassment of my classmates.   For those of you who have struggled with weight from childhood, what a head trip being of normal weight must be for you!!!   I would bet that it is a mixture of emotions.   The scars of abuse that obese children endure can never be removed, but it is for you who suffered the most that this special gift of the DS is most reserved for! Shine on, switch sisters and brothers!

I grew up in a small town, and I guess I was in the "IN" crowd in grade school. I was a cheerleader, even, and most of the kids were really close so I didn't get teased to my face. My brothers were merciless, though.  I became really self-conscious when I went to Jr. High - when we graduated to 7th grade, we were mixed in with kids who had been going to grade schools from all over the place. I felt lost in the crowd. By then, I was getting pretty tall and started losing weight.  By 8th grade, I looked very grown up and was curvy in all the grown-up places. That has its disadvantages, too! I started having panic attacks. I remember not being able to make m'self go to school.  That continued through high school and my first round of college. I actually functioned better in school when I was heavier. Go figure. I breezed through nursing school at about 230. It's alway something. I figure we're all screwy in some way. LOL! My big struggle (and I expected this) is going to be avoiding panic-type attacks as I get thinner. I've got Mr. Therapy to help me this time. And drugs. Heh. Plus, I really don't give much of a sh&t what people think of me. That helps.

Wow Jeanie! That is so cool that you have that information!  You must be so thrilled!  I know a bit about what you must feel like.  I weighed 199 when I was 10 years old, and I was 235 to 250 range when I was 16, so I weigh less than I did when I was 16 and 27 pounds from now I will weigh less than I did when I was 10! Isn't the DS the best??! Congratulations!
