I can't GOOOOOOO........
Okay, so everyone ELSE who gets this procedure must deal with "the trots" early on. Not me.
Doc assures me the plumbing is in good working order. I can fart like a pro.
My treatment efforts thus far: A jigger of straight oil
, stool softeners twice daily, Benefiber once daily (didn't agree with me much), apple juice (which hurt my tummy, still too acidic I presume), a nice long walk, and now I'm about to attempt to eat some oatmeal. Next stop will probably be a Fleet enema.
The presumed problem is lack of fiber. One of the few things I did right in my preop life was to consume that recommended 30-40 grams of fiber each day. So shall we say nicely that I have significant space in my colon
.
HELP. Other suggestions please?
