I love Regal Cinemas
A new cinema group just opened in my town and DH and I went yesterday to see "Live Free or Die Hard" at this new Regal Cinema. Now, what's so great about a cinema, you ask?
Well, first of all, the popcorn was almost all 'pop' and very, very few corn kernels. Wow!
Second, the armrests on the seats lifted up!!! This is the first theatre I've ever seen that has these. I don't need them anymore, but I can still appreciate them for those who are still struggling with MO and trying to wedge themselves into theatre seating like I used to.
Hats off to Regal!!!

I know, that's what I was thinking about when I read that. The theatre I go to also has seats with armrests that lift up, I just love it bc if the movie is boring (which tends to be the case with the movies picked by my boyfriend) I just go to sleep in his lap. Ha. Popcorn poping I never thought about, you're so intuitive Val... Woot Regal!!!!

Yup, Regal is my favorite, and I have all three major "names" to pick from in my area, plus independent ones. I especially love their GOOD SECURITY MANAGEMENT. I've had several jackasses removed from the premises over the years and could therefore enjoy my movies in peace.
One time the offending parties, a group of late-teens boys, got rather potty-mouthed at me when they were being removed. Without my saying a peep, at the end of the movie I was escorted to my car by two burly security guards.
At "my" Regal, not only do the armrests lift on the seats, there are two or three "doublewide" seats in each auditorium, and nice handy wheelchair parking spots.

After the horrible Harry Potter incident at the Rave theater, I was hesitant to go to another one but my niece wanted to see Transformers so badly (so did I, but she didn't have to know that :) ) that I tried it anyway and went to a Regal theater. When a group of kids started making a fuss (not at me, just in general), they were very quickly removed and we went back to our movie. It was definitely a nicer environment than before!
LeaAnn, my bf dragged me to Harry Potter last night and I was okay with it sort of. I would have rather seen Die Hard. Any ways, as is normal for me or was preop RnY, I did fall asleep during most of Harry Potter so now I can't even discuss it with my son who happens to love the Harry Potter movies, and I can't talk about it with anyone. I told my bf that I was tired and needed a nap before we went to the movies at night.

Regal is our favorite. Hubbie has a movie card and each time we go, it adds points. We get free stuff and discount stuff.
Also, we get to be the hall monitor. My hubbie always says that is why I married him, because he has the movie hall monitor power.... They give you a remote and if something goes wrong with the movie or sound you press a button. Or if unruly patrons are disrupting, press a button and a manager appears. (He has yet to use his power, but sure does like puff out his chest -all in fun)
And yes, our arms rest go up. Snuggle, snuggle....
