Awww Jezia, so good to see you on the board! I am so proud of you, poop and all, lol. Hubby wants me to go primitive camping also, but I have been running out of excuses. Now I have a good one!
It really is amazing how much better we feel after the DS. Even in my best days I could never out hike my hubby, but last time we went (a couple of months ago) I was way ahead of him and left him out of breath and resting on a rock, lol. It is truly amazing!
Love ya!
What a GREAT post! I too hiked and camped while MO. I never realized what an accomplishment that was for the shape I was in at the time. Last year while camping my sister asked me how I EVER did it before. Yep, I carried more than 150 pounds, in addition to my pack. It was amazing, even though I did have to stop quite often, I made it!
Now, next time you go camping, keep me in mind. I'd love to go again!

With the DS: there is no stoma, so no stoma strictures; there are no limitations (other than volume) against drinking before, during or after meals; 80% of ingested fat is malabsorbed; 98.9% of type II diabetics are CURED of this devastating disease, with data showing stable cure over 10 years out; there is the best average weight loss and most durable (average 76% excess weight loss going out 10 years) of all of the bariatric surgeries. That's why I had a DS!
