I am going to get back on track again..
We'll defend you. I know I will. If you came over to the RNY board and said something intelligent, worthwhile, that acknowledged ALL surgeries and all results without being a downright *****
If you saw someone post about how at 3 years out, they're barely losing weight and they are REALLY doing everything right, you might like to say "You know, maybe the RNY hasn't worked for you, but there is a DS operation you might like to look into".
The RNY was the right surgery for me, much like the DS was the right surgery for you. If you were a kind person who didn't lambast everyone who thinks differently from you, then we wouldn't be having these arguments. However, you seem to think that everyone who has an RNY or a Lap-Band is an idiot, and only you are the smart person.
The wise person never thinks they are wise.
Congratulations on your success this far.
I believe the DS is superior. I feel no need to acknowledge ALL surgeries. Sorry if you think that's me throwing the first punch. I believe scientific facts, and my own results and the results I've observed in my years and YEARS on this board. Sorry if you think that's me being a downright ***** It ain't. It's me being real.
So at the same time you believe in making people feel inferior for having a different surgery? Fascinating. It makes me thankful for having been raised with intelligence and the ability to, even when I feel superior to others, to not have humiliate them publicly. I'm terribly sorry you weren't raised in that manner.
If you'll notice when you click on "forums", the first option is the main board, followed by the "Duodenal Switch" forum.

If you need a visual, there ya go.
If people need to do research, they will. I did thorough research on all surgeries and made my choice.
The issue, however, is that you don't allow people to make their choices. You are intent to badger them into the DS, whether they have a BMI of 35 and need to lose 80 lbs, or a BMI of 70. I would imagine you encourage everyone in America to have the DS, yes? Whether they have 10 lbs or 400 lbs to lose.
Teach the DS. Please. Everyone needs to know all options. But you do humiliate people. Regularly. Simply for making choices different from yours. All I ask is that you respect others. That's all I, Melissa, and PK are asking.
Do you not respect people who have the RNY?
I guess you somehow MISSED the thread Diana started asking who benefited from the DS being talked about on other forums with over 80 replies in one day? Don't give me the crap about if people need to do research, they will. That gets my blood boiling cuz we have talked it INTO THE GROUND. Peer to peer discussion IS reseach.
Discussion. I've yet to see you discuss.
Here, I've helped you with definitions.

So, the newbie I posted to today on the RNY forum I badgered and harrassed? I guess that's why she thanked me for my input. Rebutting to LosingSally's diatribe about getting your info from medical professionals rather than trusting what you get from peer to peer interaction on a messageboard was badgering, pestering.
You, lady, can kiss my fat ass. I thought you were trying to have an intelligent dialect with me, but you are pathetically over your head. Blocking you now like I do all the other lukewarm IQs. Buh-Bye!
Honestly I come to anyone' s defense whoever they are when they are being personally attacked in reguards to their character.. if you knew me I you know that I absolutely would do this for you. I am that way.. ask anyone.
Hugs, Melissa
