I just bought a bunch of samples from vitalady.  In addition to the Unjury unflavored, I think they make a chicken broth flavored one too - I like the idea of adding that to soups, but haven't tried it yet.  But it's a non-sweet option that might work.

Isopure tastes like crap. It's the most vile disgusting stuff. I did Carnation Instant Breakfast a few times post-op, but then one day I threw it up (drank too fast) and then never drank it again after that. I tried a few of the Vitalady protein drinks and didn't like them much, but I tried the vanilla/cinnamon again the other day and it wasn't icky this time. There's something about your taste buds that get all out of whack after surgery. You won't like a lot of stuff you once did and then a few months later, things return to normal. I just bought some of the wal-mart whey protein powder and an immersion blender. I'm going to try to start making mixed protein drinks by adding different fruits or peanut butter. Now that I work first shift, I need something quick and easy for breakfast.

Isopure =    IMHO   That Propurfect (sp. ?) is really good stuff, and you can pour it in to almost any drink or just drink it straight ..

I have had all of the Isopure flavors, and they are all vile. I still drink it to take vitamins and get my protein up, but only because I can't eat enough to get my protein via food still. I've given up finding a decent tasting protein drink, and will just choke them down until I can eat enough protein to be done with them.  Even if you find something you think tastes OK, remember your taste really is different after surgery, so try not to get too big of a supply of any thing. Good luck, Deanne
