that said....... OT: here's where I've vanished.....

I can feel your pain!!  Sounds like our Utah vacation last year! First we get just outside of St. George, stop in a small town to get ice, come back to minivan and it won't start.  120 degrees outside.  AAA comes.  Jump starts us ... I tell him we'll get a battery when we get to Salt Lake.  He says it probably won't start next time, so back into St. George we drive and get a battery. Get to Salt Lake, do some sightseeing ... notice that for no reason the temp gauge keeps jumping up into overheat zone.  Stop at dealer because we have an extended warranty.  They fix us up with a rental right away.  Get a phone call later that day.  Needs a new head gasket. We cancel our plans to go to the boonies to see the dinosaurs because we are now at least 24 hours behind schedule.  But still plan to go to four corners - which is really in the middle of nowhere. Pick up minivan next day.  Decide to make a side trip to visit cousin's new home.  On the way back a large truck passes us.  Medium sized rock is picked up by truck's wheels and flung into our windshield and a large spider web crack fills our line of sight.    Cancel trip to four corners.  Spend all next morning on phone with insurance and waiting for glass repair who brings the WRONG windshield.  *sigh* At this point we are thinking someone is trying to tell us something.  We decide just to go home.  Before we get to Cedar City, the rubber molding (which the repair guy obviously did not glue down) is starting to fly off.  Call the national glass repair service.  The local guys are too busy to fix what the first guy screwed up and suggest we get duct tape to adhere it until we get home.   Glad you arrived home safely! Did you get pix? Sadly, I got pix on my phone that I can text, but none I can suck out of my phone onto computer. Stupidly, did not set up that function at home where I had brains all around me. Set up on my PC by me and worked. You'd think I could do it again? No.

I took pix of the shattered tire and today, saw what it did to the fender area. Guy in tire place said we were lucky seem 'm where the tire has eaten the floor, plumbing, rim.......... Like we're going to find THIS rim in Tucumcari, NM.

Yours sounds like ours. I wouldn't think there is that much that could go wrong on a minivan, but hey, I guess you found it.

One thing to note--both of our problems started in UT. SLC to be exact.

We'd turn around, but too vested in the conference. LOL

One thing you should be able to do, is send an e-mail (with the pix attached) from your phone to your personal (yahoo, gmail, etc) e-mail account... This is what I do when I need to take a pic of a display for work (while I'm on the road) and e-mail it to my boss that evening from the hotel.

Well, i'm kinda technicalogically challenged. Also typographically.

I have a Treo. I can wire sync at home. But it doesn't like my laptop. I've uninstalled and reinstalled 3 times. Cannot make them be friends. So, I cannot suck pix out that way. Wireless works, but doesn't work with pix.

My email comes into it, but will not go out of it. I have a Verizon guy at home (who is one of US) who's still tryign to figure that one out for me.

So, I have the pix in text only. Can't email them. Can't suck them out.

And we wonder why I sound a lil crazy sometimes?
